Great quality, quantity and variety of North Indian style food with kind service. We recently moved to Duncan from a city with awesome Indo-Canadian community and restaurants - we were very thankful and impressed to find this gem. Their lamb briyani is our favourite ever. My adventurous 2 year old can eat the medium spice level but prefers mild and you don’t need a towel for “hot” : Kids welcomed. We eat in regularly and take out sometimes. Just heard about the lunch special and will have to try it -
Aastha has the best indian food I have ever had! The flavours are so complex and the food is always consistently excellent. They go the extra mile and add extra ingredients like nuts, cilantro, and special sauces. The chefs work very hard. I always have leftovers for the next day as the food is so filling and great value. The food here is top tier and I highly recommend Aastha. The staff is kind and efficient. 10/10!!
Best Indian Food in town and affordable price. A must stop for anyone who enjoys good food and friendly service. I highly recommend! My mouth is now watering just writing this review!Food: 5/5
Impressed by the array and selection of Vegan, vegetarian and omnivore friendly food. Something on the menu to please everyone. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend to others. The only improvement I could suggest is compostable containers. As it was we reused ours. - now they have compostable containers: yay!
We were very hungry and ordered Kadhai Paneer, Daal Makhani, Garlic Naans and Aaloo Paranthas that was not on the menu. We were met by a charming and incredibly welcoming owner/host who made every effort to fulfil our off-menu demand. The food was excellent and the service was very personal. We ate at our hearts content and paid our compliments to the Chef Nautiyal. I highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of Indian food.
We were in a hurry to finish lunch when we came in, so we didn't expect much initially on the food and its quality. We were blown away by the fresh and hot Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer. Moreover, the Chai was the best we'd had over any Indian restaurant in the Seattle area where we're from. The lady who took our order was very sweet she was the chef's wife if I remember correctly and came to chat with us. Overall, it was a really memorable experience for us and would definitely visit if we visit Duncan again. Vegetarian options: Dal makhani, Chai, Garlic Naan and Kadhai Paneer were excellent
Best place to get this type of food on the island! Butter chicken is especially amazing! Appetizers are always delicious too. The lady at the front counter runs her butt off and goes above and beyond for her customers. Great little gem in Duncan! Vegetarian options: My parents are vegetarian and love all the vegetarian options!
Dined in last night, very accommodating and friendly. The food was so delicious and had so much flavor even for mild. Will be back as often as I can! We had the Malai Koftacomes with rice garlic naan & somosas! Very affordable with adequate portions for sharing.
I've tried all three Indian restaurants in Duncan several times, and Aastha Devotional is the best and most consistent. The food is always fresh and delicious! The Monday Butter Chicken special is a great bargain! The take out portions are generous too. I usually order two main dishes, one veg and one meat, plus an appetizer and Naan. Plain rice is included with the main dishes too! It's always between $40 and $50, and my spouse and I get TWO meals out of it. Great value!
We got takeout from here. In my opinion the food at this restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation of being the best Indian food in Cowichan Valley. The staff is pleasant and friendly and the restaurant is inviting. I'm happy to recommend them.Food: 5/5
