Accounting Society members can expect presentations and seminars that will enhance their understanding of the accounting profession. Members will have the opportunities to meet alumni and learn from their professional experience through presentations and question and answer sessions. The Becker representative gives the Society a presentation every semester regarding the CPA exam, and Becker products that help prepare students for the CPA exam. The Society began co-hosting the CPE seminars with the center for Accounting Education and Research for local CPA's, and will continue to do so as long as possible since it permits members to meet local CPA's. At least once a year the society strives to make a trip to an accounting firm so members can learn more about what they may experience after graduation, and it also offers a chance to network for an internship possibility. As a member of the Clarion community the Society engages in community service which benefits the local people, and is a chance for members to gain service hours while giving to important causes.
