my husband was alone for three weeks in their establishment waitng to be cremated. They totally blamed the hospital for errors and the hospital blamed accucare!! In the meanwhile, there's my 79 year old husband, my Viet Nam veteran, the papa to our two grand kids, wasting away with no one around......shame on these people shame shame shame
I really appreciated the sincere care and attention to details that Accu Care took for my mom.
During a difficult time, I was fortunate to have dealt with Accu-care Cremation of Carlsbad. My mother died at Palomar Hospital in Escondido and I came from Arizona to be with her at her passing. Lance Underwood and the staff at Accu-Care were responsive, compassionate and professional in every regard. I highly recommend them to other families and individuals as every detail was carefully explained and backed up in writing. Their fees are competitive and lower than other mortuaries in the area. Lance provided clear timeline expectations and confirmation from hospital pick-up to certified delivery of her remains. In the midst of our grief, Accu-care provided the reassurance and help needed at her passing.
Kristen was amazing. I called multiple times whenever I had a question or didn’t fully understand the process. She always listen and helped me through my situation. She is amazing. Thank you so much for everything you did. I appreciate you.
Disappointed is an understatement. 15 months ago I lost my father very unexpectedly, I asked the chaplain at the hospital whom they would recommend for cremation services... and Accu Care was his first thought. I didn't live close to their location, but was willing to make the drive because surely the recommendation would be sound. Let me also say that I am familiar with death, dying and the cremation process as I live it everyday on the veterinary side...and any day of the week my team does it 1000x better than this business. My initial impression of the office was that it was temporary or a pop up...wasn't warm or inviting at all, neither was the staff. When we were brought in to the room, condolences were not offered, and we sat down straight to paperwork. I was not looking for a hand to told, just decent manners as I would offer my own clients. The person we worked with seemed bored and uninterested being there, so I wasn't surprised that come time to use our death certificates that there was an error that was found. Initially the same employee was contacted, and I was told that the corrections may take up to 6 months. I called at the 6 month mark, no edited version yet. At the 13th month mark I checked in again with the same employee, and was told that the one who was in charge of processing was no longer with the business, and the request for the edits had never been made. Even if this employee wasn't the one who processes the paperwork, where was the follow up? At 6 months or before? Miraculously the edited version could be done in 10 days. Ridiculous. The ball was dropped. In addition to very poor customer service, when we picked up the cremains, we sat down with a different employee who proceeded to tap on my dad's urn like it was a good ol' piece of furniture. I hurried out of there so fast, hoping to never hear or see them again...but alas the death certificate issue that drew out for over a year. This experience was atrocious, unacceptable, unprofessional, and hurtful to me and my family. I wish I'd trusted my gut and went elsewhere.
Very efficient and made a sad time go smoothly
Going through something this tuff you want to feel taken care of and not stress more than neccessary. Thank you for everything! Prices were reasonable.
I was very happy with their service. They were the cheapest and did a grest job when my dad passed in October 2013.
I am so grateful and blessed that I chose Accu-Care for my father's cremation. Their professionalism and support was so welcomed during a very difficult time for my family. Kristen in particular was fantastic. She offered proactive knowledge to help me understand the process as well as being very timely with any follow-up questions or need for assistance. In addition, I contacted multiple cremation services and Accu-Care was very fair in their pricing. I will refer any and all business to them after seeing firsthand the quality of care they provided.
Accu-Care was professional and very kind. They made a tough situation bearable.
