Ace usually has helpful staff. Their prices are typically a little higher than Lowe’s and they don’t always have what you need simply due to the size of their store. However, they are great if you have basic products for the home or garden. If you need something a little more obscure, I’d call first to see if they have it.
Immediately when I walked in, I was greeted by a team member willing to help. I said no initially, but after failing to find what I need I went to look for someone to assist me. A man named Hank came up and was incredibly helpful. I described what I needed and he was more than happy to lead me straight to it. Incredible store with a fantastic staff, 5 stars isn’t enough!
They may not have everything you want however if they do all you have to do is ask them and every employee knows exactly where every single thing is. Also they are kind and didn't make me feel like the idiot I actually am. Lol The checkout lady is beautiful, fast, efficient, SO SO kind to answer questions.
I bought some Cabot stain from ACE in Norman and strained my fence and it was nice very nice and thought I'd buy some more for my new back fence and we'll that's when the disaster started, it was the exact same stain but a different color right our of the can, I was so mad, but I talked to Hank who runs the Ace and told him what had happened and he took care of it, sure there was some questions and I expected that but he refunded my complete purchase, now that's not replacement of my fence because now I have a color that I don't like on my new fence, BUT HE DID WHAT HE COULD TO HELP AND IN MY EYES THAT IS A STORE THAT TRULY CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER, I WILL CONTINUE TO BE A CUSTOMER HERE AT ACE AND WILL ENCOURAGE EVERYONE I NO TO SHOP THERE, THANKS HANG FOR BEING A GREAT PERSON AND TAKING THE TIME TO UNDERSTAND HOW I FELT AND HANDLEDING THE SITUATION PROFESSIONALLY, 5 STARS

I had gone to Ace Hardware 3 weeks ago to buy a grill. When I got there I waited to get help getting a grill but no one helped. I started to leave the store when the manager stopped me. I told him I was going to Lowes to get a grill and he said here's one for $200 you don't need an expensive one. So I took him up on it and they delivered the grill. I got the propane bottle hooked up but it wouldn't start. I called the manager and said it wouldn't start so he had an employee come to the house and he couldn't start it.I worry all week and so that Saturday I called the manager again. He said he'd call me Saturday morning have an employee come pick it up by noon. I didn't receive a call so I waited till 3 and called them back. The employee who answered said the manager was out and they knew about the situationand thought it had been taken care of. So the following I called the manager and he said leave the gate unlocked and they would pick it up if it didn't work or leave it there if it did. The grill was still there so I tried to start it it again but it didnt start. I even went to buy a new propane tank and it would'nt start. So I' given up. 3 weeks of frustration and losing $200 plus dollars. Dont deal with this store. Im going to Lowes to buy another grill.
Great service here. There website said they had a product in store. Drove across town, they were out. But the service was so good I just ordered the item for pick up next week. They also have a low price on Spiz fertilizer.
The number of random items I’ve needed to complete a job that they have had is crazy. I should have to drive to a speciality store to get some of the things but they have amazingly had them and known where they were. Good staff.
The guys who work here are super helpful. The isles are so small though. The isle that is the busiest hardware ie nails, screws, bolts, washers, nuts is the narrowest isle and is ALWAYS the busiest which makes it very difficult finding what you need. Store merchandiser needs to try a new layout to accommodate. Other than that, good store.
Even though I clicked no on rounding my order up for some charity it still charged me. Did you know that these big companies ask you to donate so they can get a big tax write off at the end of the year with your money.
