Went in to get a key copied and the associate at the service desk, Mark, COMPLETELY IGNORED me. 3 other customers came and went and he helped them, while I was standing right there. No eye contact, no words, no recognition of my existence. Another employee entered the service area and he too COMPLETELY IGNORED me. I left and will NOT return. This is a master class on how to loose business. I have never experienced anything like this. Other reviewers have indicated similar treatment. This cannot even be called poor customer service as you must first be recognized as a customer, not an invisible ghost.
Clean neat store aisles. Friendly and helpful clerks. Good checkout times. Wide variety of tools, household, and other departments. Handy place to shop.
Pretty good place to get hardware, yard tools and things to take care of plants. Overall a big selection I normally go here for filters and yard supplies. The check out was long and slow.
I love Ace Hardware. It's nostalgic & they have cool stuff you wouldn't expect. It's a bit pricier than the box stores, but not much & kinda worth it, if only to avoid the crowds
This Ace is NOT the place! After standing around for 15 minutes for the paint person to come around I finally get them to get 1 quart of exterior satin black I’m open to any color black, by any brand. They “can’t find the color code”, manager gets involved I waited for 15 more minutes and had to leave. Called my order into the Home Depot by my house and had what I needed within 8 minutes of leaving this store. …don’t be in a hurry if you’re headed here for paint!
I can't stand this store now that they changed the format to trap you inside. Regardless, their customer service is as poor as ever. Not the Ace hardware you grew up with for sure. Go to the one off of S. Wadsworth. They have much better customer service and more professional people who know how to treat their customers with respect.
Staff was super helpful trying to help me find what I was after! We never did find it but the spent 20 minutes trying like heck! Great folks here!
This Ace used to be awesome but it’s gone completely downhill. Recently I tried to return a hat with some bad stitching and they said they couldn’t return it because the the pandemic, it was never worn. I checked with the cashier before I even brought it in a week beforeHand, she made no mention of a non-returnable clothing policy and told me me to bring it in and return it. If Ace won’t stand behind defective products they sell then I’ll stop shopping there. I reached out to a manager ‘Justin’ to confirm their stance but I have yet to hear back. Had a similar problem two weeks ago when I called to see if they took old paint back and they said bring it in. I get there and no one in paint department for sometime to help me, when someone finally showed up they were clueless as to this policy. No one ever wearing masks when there is clearly a public health order in place.
One star review are all correct. It's a no refund store. Everything they are saying TRUE! Definitely AVOID....
Couldn't find anyone to really help me. 1 gentleman I talked to was Rude and didn't really want to help. Asked where to find something they didn't carry. Asked for a suggestion, told me to look online. Went back to his thing.
