The Barrow family established Barrow Funeral Home in the early 1900s near the turn of the century, and owned and operated the funeral home until 1955. Bill Foster purchased the funeral home that year and later moved its location to the Faith Methodist Church building. Bill Foster served Jones County for many years, demonstrating great care and concern for families in need. In 1981, after 25 years of service, Mr. Foster sold the funeral home to Larry Adams.
For nearly 30 years, Mr. Adams served the community of Hamlin with an emphasis on honor and respect, as well as great care and compassion. In 2001, Doug Ray joined the staff at Adams-Foster Funeral Home and worked and trained under Larry Adams. In 2009, when Mr. Adams was ready to retire, Doug and Lisa Ray purchased the funeral home. To this day, they carry on the legacy of the owners who came before them. The personal care and respect that Larry Adams always showed to families continues today through the compassion of Doug and Lisa Ray, De De Scifres and their knowledgeable, friendly staff.
