Awesome campgrounds. Plenty of activities on the weekends for children. The pool is heated and was still open in the middle of September when we visited. Staff was super friendly and our cabin was clean. Only thing that could have been better would be a coffee machine vs a kuerig in the cabin. Other than that everything was perfect. Rooms: Clean cozy cabins. Nearby activities: High peaks wilderness is close to explore. Campgrounds has activities on the weekend for family's.
We recently camped four nights at Spacious Skies Adirondack Peaks with 4 other families last weekend and had a wonderful camping trip. This was our first time here since it was a Yogi Bear Campground so we were somewhat apprehensive. We all camped on riverview sites with our campers. The campground was clean including the restrooms. The employees were extremely nice and welcoming. The pools were clean and enjoyable. The kids with us ranged in age from 7 years old to young adults. They really enjoyed all of the activities available including the pools, ping pong table, pool table, gem mining, bike riding, jumping pillow and weekend activities involving a water themed weekend. Also the price per night was very reasonable. We will definitely be going back!
Lots of activities for the kids, who were in heaven. We stayed in one of the cabins in the back which was perfect as it was a little removed from everyone else we went during the week so it was quieter also. Kids did the jumping pillow, mining and pools. All were fun and they spent hours doing it. No issues with the cabin, besides a grill rusted through, but we used the one next door and told the office. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Lots of different camping options. Only con was there were a group of unsupervised kids who were using alot of negative language and just generally being punks but my kids just avoided them.
This is the first time I have ever been here, and we will def be returning. It was myself, my husband, and our son, and we were there for 3 days. It was very relaxing. My son absolutely enjoyed the playground and the jumping pillow. He loves to swim also but the pool water was a little cold the day we went to go swimming. All and all we had fun. I love that they do themed weekends for the kids. The place was very peaceful, and the staff were all friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone who was looking for somewhere to camp. They also have all the necessities you would need for camping, plus much much more in the store. Thank you, Spacious Skies, for a very relaxing and much needed Vaca.. We will see you again in the near future!!
This is such a nice campground and a great experience! The kids loved the gem mining and train rides!! We enjoyed the water view and the staff was so nice to us! On our favorites list for sure!Rooms: 5/5
The cabins were well equipped and pretty clean. The campground had a lot to do, swimming pool, game room, movie night, train rides for the kids. They even had a mining sluice box you can buy a bag of gems and try your luck. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. If you had any issues they wanted to know right away. I had one issue with our bunk so they came and fixed it quickly. The camp store has everything you could need for camping. They even had food you could order. The place had a laundry room and a bathhouse for showers. My family definitely had fun and we will be back again. Did I also mention they are a pet friendly campground.
Love to camp at this campground. Except that there is a big difference now that there is a new ownership. A lot of things have changed, so many activities have been taken away, and when trying to make a reservation online, it shows all riverside as not available. When we arrive and stay 3 nights, there is nobody on those sites. Also we find it rather boring to stay there now, with so many changes, there's nothing to do anymore.
Absolutely love it here and definitely recommend it if your looking for a great place to camp. There's plenty of things for kids of all ages. I first stayed here 12+ years ago when it was yoga bear park. They've definitely improved alot of things sense then. Staff was awesome. Sites aint the biggest but there average size. Prices are more then reasonable. The store on site has a great variety of everyday needs. We will definitely be returning this summer.
Spent the last week at spacious skis. This will be the last time we go. We have been going 3yrs in a row a few times a year. It was great experience the first year besides a sewage leak behind us that kept bubbling up in the road everytime the pump turned on.Tin box staff was great they credited us a couple nights for free. Now new ownership took over and everything has gone down hill! Pool freezing heater not working. The river was warmer..But can't swim in river. Very little to no activities for kids. game room machines not working. bath houses unkept. Mini golf in disarray. All Prices went up. no golf carts to rent. Staff at office not friendly or office closed during open hours. And the sewage is still flowing across the road. We complained about it and they spread some lime..and gravel over it. did not fix it it's called dig it up and fix it. The gentleman next to us went up to complain and they offered him a discount in the over priced store they have. price gounging. I could go on and on.... the only positive is the playground and jump pillow. don't waste your money. Happy Camping.
Arcade is non functioning, with all the games out of order. Pools are closed and out of order "till further notice", beach area by river is dirty and had litter. There is no snack shack minus a slushie machine. River spots are right by the road and very loud. However staff was nice and bathrooms are well maintained. If tenting with little need for anything else, it's adequately priced. But if you are looking for the experience advertised and/or paying cabin prices you'd be dissatisfied.
