Dr. Steve Garn is helping families dental needs one smile at a time.
Doctor Steve Garn was trained in the military as a dental assistant and as a hygienist, and then graduated from Oklahoma University with a DDS degree. He is a member of Dentistry's highest honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He then completed an advanced residency in General Dentistry. He has passed the grueling testing and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
He retired from the military after twenty years. He was an instructor at the Idaho State University in their General Dental Practice Residency. He has served twice on the ISU Hygiene Board and has volunteered at the CSI Dental Hygiene Clinic.
He has served as president of the local dental society and as a voting delegate from Idaho for the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been President of the Burley Lions Club.
Dr. Garn is heavily involved within our community. He supports the performing arts, the Lions Club. He serves in various positions in his church. He is also very involved with the Boy Scouts of America with his local troop and in June of 2011 was Course Director for Wood Badge at Camp Bradley.
Dr. Garn grew up in a small town in Garland, Utah. He has five sisters and four brothers. His family is very close they look for every opportunity to spend time with each other. He married Sylvia Mae Morris in 1976. They have had the pleasure of raising their children in this beautiful community for the last 20 plus years. Supporting the local schools and activity clubs has been enjoyable; as they watched their eleven children grow up. They have two sons and nine daughters all are as fun loving as their parents. They have seventeen grandchildren to date.
