Over the course of some time, my wife and I have gotten a washer, dryer, bedframe, and a deep freezer from here. We paid every item off and we never once even paid late. We always payed up in advance, I got the letter they send out saying its paid dor on all items. Thinking we shoukd take our business to the same place we have a long and good history with, one afternoon we went in their with our little girl to buy a fridge, the manager kicked us out, saying we are liars and accused me personally of having done something that she "herd" about from someone else bur would not tell me what the accusation was I still to this day have no idea She went as far as threatening to call the cops on us. We where completely cordial and was shocked by her insistance that we were some how, and i quote, "playing a game with her". We haven't gone back since. I can't say I recommend this route after we have done so much business and there and they treated us this way. We may never know what happened that day. Our concern is someone used my wife's name somehow, but they wouldn't talk to us. What can you do.....
My sister Just recently got an ac unit from the Hammond location. The "manager" velvet I believe is her name, has been harrasing my sister, my dad who is a 72 year old Vietnam War veteran over being 2 weeks late on paying the monthly note. When about a week ago this extremely rude and obnoxious lady "manager" /velvet proceeded to bang on my dad's door demanding he let her in the retrieve the ac unit otherwise she was going to call the sheriff's office and they would kick the door in for her..... Outraged when my dad called me saying that this poor excuse for a human being was screaming at and threatening him through the door.... myself Brandon Lee Simoneaux jumped in my truck and rushed to my dad's house about 30 miles away. When I arrived I had to use my key to go in my dad's house because he was worried that he was getting arrested for theft. This will not be tolerated nor will it be swept under the rug, said manager has been warned by myself, as well as my sister Shannon Simoneaux to NEVER RETURN TO MY DAD'S PROPERTY or she would be dealt with accordingly. Now my wife and I have been trying to get corporate on the phone to explain this situation as well as the unconscionable and down right criminal actions of their employee.... but have yet to have our calls returned.. So we are discussing taking legal action against said "manager" and or affordable home furnishings for the above stated actions of their high strung employee and her deplorable approach at handling this situation. This company with their non existent customer service department is a shining example of how someone with what I suppose this woman would consider to be a position of power would abuse her so called authority to bully and threaten people with forced entry into their homes to retrieve whatever junk they screwed some poor soul over on. WELL IT WILL NOT BE MY FAMILY!! I strongly suggest that you get your dog on a leash, or she will be treated as such the very next time she steps onto my father's property! This will be the only warning that will be afforded to you. Yall have a nice day
I left this review because I’ve rented with Affordable twice and it’s twice I’ve been given the run around, instead of giving me what I asked for they pushed a more expensive piece on me got mad when I said I didn’t want it and would like my money back that I put down and was told we’re not giving anything back we don’t give money back. I asked for a store credit and was rudely hung up. At this point I’m giving up on getting my money back because if I call corporate nothings gonna be done about it anyway. Never going there again
They always have what I need
Every time I have been here, the staff has been very knowledgeable and accommodating. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their exquisite track record of providing quality products at an affordable price is second to none. Years of experience and quality workmanship makes the best place to shop in south Louisiana.
Dealt with them years ago. Rented a living room set, and when my income reduced, I asked them to pick it up. The person in charge can't remember his name anymore asked me what I could afford, I told him, and he said he would get back with me. A few weeks later, he called me, threatening to call the cops to get the rental back, even after I explained I was still waiting for a response as to a reduced payment, and ended up having to lose a day of work to make sure they got their stuff back, when it could have easily been resolved by them simply picking it up when I took the initiative and told them they needed to get it due to a change in my status. For a couple years, they would randomly call asking me to rent with them again, and my response was to ask if that person was still there, when they said yes, I simply said we will talk when he is gone, because I'm not dealing with him again, and hung up
Great place ever. Even when an issue arises, it it always fixed with no issue. The staff is very friendly and as long as you communicate with them concerning your account, they have no problem helping whenever they can
Do not go here.... I brought a stove and when they delivered it on a rainy day the delivery crew dropped it and put a dent in the side of my car .... no one was held responsible for this.... my car til this day still have the dent. Then they had to replace my stove and brought me a cheaper one 3 different times like I wasn't going to notice the difference. Plus sent the same delivery driver to my house who dent my car. I did not call them harassing them I was more than patient thinking they were going to do what was right. Boy was I wrong. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here!
I've been dealing with Colortyme before Affordable bought them in Ponchatoula for 10 years now. Velvet and Kevin are the only ones I like to deal with....these people are great. I've always received gr eww at service from them and Kevin always takes care of any issue that come up! Recommed!!
I walked through the doors right at 9am and the staff was so full of energy and prepared to help me! In less then 10 minutes the deal was done and I was out the door! A++++ Service!
