The owner is rude. Not sure if I just caught her on a bad day or what but she's very unprofessional. Her voicemail is full at all times and she doesn't answer the phone and told me she likes it that way. And when she does finally pick up she's rude. She first asked if I ever have groomed my dog and where I went and why I was calling her. I had to cancel an appointment with my regular groomer due to family emergency and they couldn't get me scheduled until 6 weeks away. My boy needed a sooner cut so I called affordable grooming. She told me she wouldn't cut him unless I commit to a 6 week recurring appointment with her. I would have considered it had she not been rude from the start. I would NOT recommend this place. customer service is important and she is lacking that. Maybe after this review she changes her tune and that is why I am writing it.
I've been going here since I moved up from Texas. She gives each pet a very personal and caring experience. It's not a place that herds the animals through. I won't go anywhere else!

I NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS AND CAUTION ANYONE CONSIDERING IT TO STAY AWAY AND FOR THOSE WHO TAKE YOUR PET THERE CURRENTLY TO RECONSIDER!!!! This is a long post, but worth the read. I have been taking my dogs to Raquel since 2014 I believe. I felt she did a good job with them and was flexible with my schedule as well as very fair with price. I have seen reviews about her erratic behavior and such but had personally never really experienced anything like that until this morning. I took my 3 pups in for their appt. and I typically drop them off in the cages that are inside her salon and leave them there. Sometimes she is home and sometimes she is not. It's never been a big deal as they are inside where it's either warm or cool in the summer. This morning the cages were outside in the UNHEATED garage with the door open. I noticed she had called and asked me to leave them in there. As it was only 43 degrees out and my dogs are 7, 11, and 18 pounds I was a bit shocked at this request. So I called her and told her that it was too cold to leave them there. She said it would only be for 5 mins. So I said that was no big deal and I would happily wait with them in my heated car. She then said it was going to be 20 mins and they would be fine out there and I was being ridiculous! I couldn't believe it. I said that I would just come back in 20 mins with them as I really did not want them outside. My 7lb pup has separating anxiety and tends to "squeal" when left so I also didn't want to alarm neighbors. And, yes, she can be THAT loud when left. Again, I just couldn't believe she was even asking me to do this. So again I said it was no big deal for me to come back in 20 mins. She then replied that I would have to reschedule them if I didn't want to leave them because they would be fine. I said that I couldn't reschedule as they had been waiting to get in and needed to be groomed. Which I was confused about need to reschedule at all since if I met her back in 20 mins as she claimed she was going to be gone for then it was not like she was loosing any time, right? So why would that mess with her schedule. I can only assume it's because she was going to be longer than 20 mins and did not want me waiting for her again when I got back. So when I said I could not reschedule she AGAIN proceeded to tell me how ridiculous I was being and that I could just take them someplace elseLiterally could not believe it. Here I am, a loyal customer who stuck with her after she lost my dog yes it ran away from her facility because she left her outside, sedated one of my dogs to "calm her down" without asking me, and who had stuck up for her when others claimed she was unreasonable. I just want all to know that apparently loyalty does not matter to her. That the second you don't agree with something she feels, then you're ridiculous and as far as she's concerned there is no need for her to be civil to you. I put my dogs back in my car and got the hell out of there. I would NEVER bring my dogs back here no matter how cheap she works. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend if you take your pet there now to reconsider because when the time comes that there is a slight disagreement then you're like trash to her. Or at least that's how'll she treat you.
We highly recommend using Raquel's dog/cat/pet centric and excellent grooming service. Our dog Tessie is 16 years old and has a ear infection which has been ongoing for many years however, it has become serve, and chronic over the last 3 years. We use all the solutions, and medications recommended by our Vet, and are cleaning her ears every other day, and most of the time, everyday. Tessie is deaf now because of this infection. Raquel is gentle, patient, extremely knowledgeable, as she is a vet's assistant. Tessie really reacted positively to Raquel cleaning her ear, and grooming her because she was so gentle. Raquel worked on cleaning her ear for an hour while educating my wife on what method to use, how to best clean Tessie's ears, and what solution to use to best alleviate her pain. She then groomed Tessie for another 1.5 hours. Tessie is a new dog after experiencing Raquel's special pet grooming techniques as she is not sleeping as much throughout the day, and back to acting like her puppy like self. We feel Raquel is a God sent for Tessie and we really appreciate her care, passion for animals, and educating us so we can relieve our dog's pain as we love her very much. There are many factors in the longevity of a pets life. However, a 12-15 lb Lhasa Apso generally, does not live to be 16 years without great care, and we have continually given Tessie the best care we knew how to give her. If you want the same for your pet, then Raquel is the person to groom your pet because it is her passion, her gentleness, her keen knowledge of how to best to care for your pet, and this is why we are giving Raquel our highest recommendation. The cost of her services definitely lives up to her companies name Affordable Pet Grooming which is extremely reasonably priced for what she delivers increasing the quality of life for your pet or pets. Thank you very much Raquel for easing our dog Tessie pain. You are fantastic, and unique in our experience.

A lovely, personally owned business! The owner was very knowledgeable about grooming, pet handling, and animal behavior. The environment was clean and well suited to reduce pet stress. I came here for help with my cat's knotted fur, and she did a wonderful job with cleaning him up. I will definitely recommend this business and plan to return.

Contrary to the other reviews, I found Raquel to be very nice and she did a great job on my dog, Bruce. He hates having his nails clipped and getting a bath and she did a great job of both and for a great price. I saw the other reviews and was going to go somewhere else but my neighbor told me he thought she was wonderful. I highly recommend her.
This establishment deserves every star applied. The owner does an excellent job. And goes over and beyond to assure that you are happy as well as your pet child. I am blessed to have found her Raquel for my Peppers grooming. Trust me you can't go wrong.
