"Lomita Carwash is a high end self serve carwash. At this car wash you wash your own car using the equipment and chemicals provided in each bay. We have 3 bays. The bays offer the following options: 1 Engine degreaser 2 Wheel and tire cleaner 3 presoak 4 foam brush 5 high pressure soap 6 high pressure rinse 7 wax 8 spot free rinse 9 Air dryEach bay accepts quarters, Dollar Coins, bills or credit cards. The minimum is $2 for 3 minutes. If you use a credit card make sure to press the stop button once you’ve completed washing your car. If you forget, the machine automatically stops after 22 minutes and charges your card $15. By pressing the RED STOP button you will end the transaction and the fee will appear on the reader."

First time stopping by here on my way to the freeway after work! It was great! The owner or attendant was really nice! He asked if i needed help when I was using the machine, and later, i asked him if he could change some change into a dollar because I didn't have quarters for the machine, so i can vacuum.The machines take cards, but not the vacuum ones. $ 2 BUCKS FOR THE VACUUM!!! GREAT DEAL! I didn't get the gentleman's name who was working there. But, if he reads this, thank you for ur excellent customer service ! Will be a regular now !
Good facility, pricing is a bit high but it does offer things like air dry and different hoses for low pressure wash and wheel/tore cleaner. Only has 3 stalls so you'll likely wait for a bay to open up but I've not had to wait long.
This was by far the best self serve car wash I have ever used. The owner is always walking around helping people if they need it, the lot is clean and all of the equipment works really well. I also love how they now have credit card readers in all the bays. 10/10 highly recommend.Service: Auto detailing
They raised their price to $3 for 4 minutes. I use soap brush then high pressure wash and have just enough time on small car. Vacuum raised price $2 for 6 minutes.
Pull up, put some quarters in, and get scrub-a-dubbin! $8 later and WOW the spray painted racing stripe on my 2005 4Runner never looked better. Top notch bubbles, industrial water pressure, and vacuums that actually get the sand out of my car - miraculous. And the owner? What a guy! He's obviously putting in a lot of effort into making this place great.
Formerly "$1 Lomita Car Wash" - this place is now under new management. The son took over the older gentleman who lived in the GMC motorhome has sadly passed painted the exterior, and is slowly improving the business. The wash times have been reduced to 2 mins per $1 used to be 3 mins per $1 but they are trying to make up for it with improved equipment new wash selections, new pressure guns, new brushes, etc. and badly needed repairs. Have been coming to this place since 2016, have never had a problem with machines eating money or anything. I highly recommend visiting early in the morning or during daylight, at night this place is a bit dark & sketch... there's still room for improvement, but bottom line, Lomita Car Wash is still a good value for your dollar.
This self service car wash is the business! All of the equipment needed is well taken care of, and I have never had an issue using anything! Pressure wand will blast off all that dirt, bird doodoo, and tree sap! The sudzy foam will make it easy to glide your mitten over your paint! Hit this place up!
Didnt think I would ever write a review for a do-it-yourself car wash, but after having gone to this place after a very long time, you can tell the owner has turned this spot around and it didn’t go unnoticed. It always did the trick, but now it’s clean and modern with obvious upgrades. Kudos to the owner if you see this. PS-My ideal Saturday is to wash my car at Lomita Car Wash, get a teriyaki bowl across the street at Sushi no.1, and then end the trifecta at Saver’s with a gently used pair of trousers. Ultimo dia
It was a great experience to wash the car itself.
New owners invested in new equipment, and I do enjoy washing my vehicles here.
