Rented with Alamo Montgomery Airport twice this past year and both times I was completely satisfied with my rental. I was skeptic after I read the reviews but they were the only ones open late so I had to choose them since I needed a late pickup time. Both times the cars were extremely clean/ low mileage. And the staff I dealt with during pickup/ drop off was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely rent with them again, so far no complaints.
Excellent customer service. I arrived a day early and they were able to accommodate me with very fast rental process.
I booked this rental in advance because we knew our family member was getting close to their transition from this world. I was told different information in reference to the deposit. So I double checked with the MGM Montgomery location and was told there was a deposit of $300. I called the customer service line back and tried to see if I could get a lower deposit since I was given the wrong information. I also asked if they could just charge the deposit and then take the payment once I returned the car. I asked if I could do a split deposit. No one tried to help just kept giving the same “ I’m sorry “ line but stayed firm in me needing to have the deposit so NO don’t rent from them they are untrained and very cold hearted with no care for people. I’m truly stressed behind this because I have to leave for Tennessee tonight and now I have to find other accommodations on top of dealing with a funeral.
Thank you for your response. The affected family is addressing the issue. Eventually, this will be addressed via a phone call to the airport as well. Hoping this gets fixed so no other families get stranded. --------------------------------- ****CAUTION**** Montgomery Airport location 6/4/2021 Alamo left a military family stranded at the airport tonight. They booked in advance, their flight arrived early, but Alamo decided to close up shop before their flight even arrived! There was NO after hours number. Another worker at the airport said they get complaints "all the time" on Alamo. The airport had no way to contact Alamo either. Thankfully, the military community came through to support this family and were able to get them to their destination. Alamo, I hope you refund their money for the car they never received.
If I could give them zero stars I would. My husband booked a car through these people months ago, and we called 3 days before our trip to confirm we were good to go, which they said we were. My husband got to Montgomery, Al and waited in line at Alamo for 45 minutes only to be told they "ran out of cars, go elsewhere." I called and they said there was nothing they could do. How is this even acceptable?! Then they proceeded to tell me that certain situations come up where maybe someone from TX needed a car because of flooding, or cars were wrecked. I then asked why someone didn't call my husband to let him know right away that there would not be a car for him? They had no answer for that. We booked this trip with the hotel, flight, and car, so everything was already paid for in a package. We are out about 200 dollars for the car. We will never use this company again. BE WARNED, THESE PEOPLE ARE SHADY!!! Do not give them business, it could happen to you too!
Went in this morning 6-7-22 at 9:00a for my reservation paid the Lady and she told me to wait about 25-30mins I said okay cool. I told her I’ll just come back around 10ish give you guys time to get the car ready I told her my accommodations my brothers was going so we needed the room. She stated she called me but I never received any calls from the number I called to see what’s going on now mine you it’s going on 5p now. Went up there to see meet the Lady there now she wouldn’t tell me her name very rude unprofessional for no reason when you guys ran my card for almost 600.00 dollars. Yes I was a little heated because you have my email also you could have sent something or tried your cells phones you guys be on LOL!!! But to be treated like an animal no reason when you guys made the mistake don’t make sense please make it make sense for me. I wouldn’t spend my money you again!!!!
I'm renting a car from Alamo, Montgomery airport at the moment, and the car is in great condition, at a great rate, and when I had a few questions about the car, I was helped promptly by a man named Shed. The fuel in my car was not on full when I picked it up, and Shed handled the situation quickly and effectively. Just remember everyone that places like this are understaffed because people would rather send on their butt and collect unemployment rather than get a job. I appreciate their effort.
Would give zero if possible. Alamo staff was opposite of helpful. Was assured and verbally guaranteed a vehicle would be available after making a firm reservation. No vehicles. And staff were zero help or even interested in helping. Enterprise found a vehicle and had to wait another 45 mins after being told it would be “ready in 15”
Up until today, I have had really pleasant experiences with alamo. But today was a complete disaster. I had booked a reservation with alamo prior today which was a week ago. And then today I received a call from alamo telling me that I was on a waiting list and that I would get a call back when they received more vehicles. And that was at 11 something this morning. I waited up until it was time for the reservation and decided to go up there since I may have been overlooked and they seemed to be busy when I had called up there prior. When I got there after viewing the lot I seen SEVERAL vehicles and don't get me wrong they may have been reserved for people and most cars were SUVs, if I had to drive one of those I would have to get where I needed to go. But that was not an option either. And if I'm charged for a rental I can't even get, I will be extremely angry.....until they get their deceiving inventory together I will NOT be booking with again! It makes no sense that all those cars were on the site today and I can't get a single car!!! I'm fed up with them..
I originally rented from the Alamo at ATL. Drove to Montgomery where I ended up locked out of the vehicle. When I called Alamo with my problem they suggested I have the vehicle towed to the closest location which was the Montgomery airport saying there would be a $250 fee. They also said they would return my items that were locked in the vehicle when they gained entry. Ultimately Alamo charged me almost $700, never returned anything and never responded to more than 10 lost item online claims and phone calls to this branch location. Admittedly I made a mistake in getting locked out of the vehicle but I should still be treated decently as a customer. I will not rent from Alamo again.
