Bought $6000 worth of booths tables and chairs. We were told there was 11 booths but when delivered 1 booth was missing the back. Contacted store but they could not locate missing back mailing booth useless I requested an adjustment to payment amount but was told they did not own the equipment but were selling for someone. They also denied telling us how many booths tables and chairs there were but when delivered the exact number of booths tables and chairs we wrote sown in the store were delivered When I requested the contact information for that person I was told I could not have that. Store denied acting as an agent but then said they cut a check to the equipment owner for the funds I paid them. They then said I got such a great deal implying I should be happy with what I got. When I told them they probably would not want their reputation tarnished by their unwillingness to compensate for the misrepresentation of how many booths that were being bought they claimed that would be slander. I’m supposed to now receive some type of call back If I do I’ll update post
I’ve bought equipment from Jack and Lou and am buying more! I had to return a display case due to my own fault not measuring properly and they took it back no questions asked and so helpful in finding me a replacement. They are awesome to work with! Highly recommend!
So far bad experience, took equipment down a month ago, said he was two weeks out which was fine never herd from Jack till 4 phone messages later, said he would be back to me early last week.i never herd from him again I call leave message not returned, I call FINALLY get someone to answer phone still got no where. Today is a month they have had my equipment and no closer to finding anything out then I was a month ago. Jack is apparently out of town and doesn't bother to tie up loose ends BEFORE he leaves. The lady knew nothing about my appliance's. I would definitely not recomend this place to anyone. Still no equipment so can't say if they do a good job on that. I guess we will find out. First and last time I will be using their business.
Evidently, the person posting the poor review doesn't understand the nature of this business. This isn't a design showcase, it is mostly a purveyor of used restaurant equipment, and the prices reflect that. I purchased 7 pieces of stainless equipment for a modern, new construction home. All in, I paid around $1300, which included an industrial 3-compartment sink with side drain pans and faucet, 6' and 3' tables with bottom shelves as work tops the 3' has a very large stainless drawer as well!, and a small stainless base cabinet with door. No need to think about countertops, all stainless. Installation? Nope, just roll into place. You, as a customer, need to KNOW what it is you're willing to work with, and have the vision to assemble several available components into a configuration that will work for you. Know the dimensions of your space. Know your needs. Bring a tape measure, pencil, graph paper etc. and look at all of the available products! My experience with Jack was absolutely wonderful, personable and cheerful! He even let me wiggle him down a few bucks and then threw in a 3'x3' chopping block cutting board for free! The poor review is akin to calling a thrift store and being peevish that they don't offer personal shopper services.
Took months to get the equipment I paid for and when I finally received it it didn't work. Jack sent some people out to fix it but it still didn't address the issue. Fridge worked for approximately 2 months and when I tried to petition Jack to help find a solution, he didn't show up to the appointment we had agreed upon. I will never procure any equipment from this company again and I do not recommend anyone else do.
I’ve built two restaurants with used equipment from Jack and Lou. They’re great! Work with you and fix issues if they arise. I’m the gal that always has to ask for a tape measure, spends 45 minutes looking at and discussing something and then change my mind and they are happy to help me regardless. I’ve also brought equipment in broken and it’s always fixed within a timely manor. I’m a small gal and young and when I walked in ready to spend money they didn’t assume I knew nothing and belittle me or ignore me happens more than you’d think and they didn’t try to price gouge me either! I hope to build five more trailers in the next three years and you can bet I’ll be going here for my start up equipment!
Lots of great used equipment here. The stock is always changing so you never know what you'll find but I think Jack has the best prices of all the used guys in town. Two thumbs up.
Bad experienced!! Brought a refrigerator, great conditions when i pay for it, but when delivered it had some big scratches on the door and some extra dents because of the poor way they transported their equipment! Lou was nice, but not a good customer service, I got my money back!! Not returning to this store:
Wow, I just called and spoke with Worthis ? and explained to her that I was the director of dinning services and wanted to discuss our equipment for a new service provider, she told me that she would have to talk to her boss and didn't know if they could do that! WHAT!!!!!!! This was the first number we called and couldn't believe her response. Well this must be either the busiest most blessed company in town or they need some training on phone etiquette to gain business and not run it away.. Needless to say, we will call another company that may be interested in servicing our 5 food service outlets on our campus.. Times sure have changed...I gave the 1 star ONLY because I had to in order to post this VERY SAD, VERY POOR AND VERY UNFORTUNATE!
Got some refrigerators for a food truck at a good price and they work excellent!! The Refrigeration service tech Robert is very knowledgeable!
