Parking garage has been falling down for years. Spalling concrete and exposed rebar everywhere you look. Many parking spots blocked off with construction fencing. Railings caked with pigeon feces. There is now a large structure in the middle of the station after someone crashed into the concrete wall earlier this year and sent concrete falling into the glass atrium. Parking has greatly improved over the years, going from a ticket attendant, to a ticket booth in the station, now it's just on the phone. I would describe this as one of the more clean MBTA stations and its easy to get to. Interesting neighborhood.

Very useful station! Handy access to Downtown Boston via the Red Line, but there were a few things that were unpleasant. The station is very dirty, and could really use a refresh in terms of design and cleanliness. At the time of posting as well, the T has numerous slow zones imposed on the Red Line, meaning sometimes it takes forever to go from one station to the next. Still a very handy tool though! They even have a Dunkin’ inside the mezzanine.

I used to park my truck at the Alewife for the work day. It was cheap however I had my gas cap stolen one day and Maby a month into parking their I found a human tird on the side of my truck. I mean you get what you pay for ‍

For a major transportation hub in an important city like Cambridge this station is really scuzzy.  The station is long overdue for an update as it is very grimy and dingy and just overall dirty and disgusting. The restrooms should be condemned by the city as they are filthy and disgusting.  An hour after using the men's room for just a couple minutes and the stench is still with me!! The parking garage is constantly undergoing renovations making it a challenge to navigate and find a suitable parking space at times.  In comparison to other ivy league towns like Princeton, which is immaculate, this one can be likened to the Rand Transportation Center in Camden New Jersey which is basically a homeless shelter.

This is my favorite place to start my trips into Boston. Parking at Alewife is super cheap, and as a terminus station, you get first claim on seats in the cars on the Red Line. Yeah, the trip into Boston say, to Park St. is a little long, but it's well worth it.

ALWAYS LATE AND TAKES FKN TWO HOURS TO GET TO ALEWIFE. I HATE THAT I HAD TO TAKE THIS DUMB BUSS WHILE WASTING MY DAMN TIME INSTEAD OF JUST DRIVING. F YOU MAN

This station has everything all in one. The station is cleaner than most and also feels nicer because of the higher ceilings and more open spaces. I've also eaten at QuickBite and bought stuff from the news stand which are nice conveniences that not all stations have.

This is one of the best stations on the MBTA. ITS HUGE there is food and great seating.  a huge parking garage and I just love it.  5/5

Basic subway station, with a Dunkin Donut in the lobby.

Based on these reviews most people seem to be coming to use the bathroom here? But if you’re like me and come here to get somewhere it’s great. Very easy access to trains and parking for cars and bikes. There’s always a waiting train and they depart frequently!
