Boston Landing

Description

Boston Landing is a commuter rail station on the MBTA's Framingham/Worcester Line located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The station is located just west of the Everett Street bridge, next to the Massachusetts Turnpike. It serves the Allston-Brighton area as well as the Boston Landing development including Warrior Ice Arena, which opened nearby in early September 2016. The station is fully handicapped accessible, with a single full-length high-level island platform. Elevators and stairs lead to Arthur Street and to the Everett Street bridge. The station, which was officially announced on June 7, 2012, is the result of discussions dating back to 1998. It was then projected to cost $16 million and to serve as many as 2400 daily riders by 2030. It is an infill station, since commuter rail trains passed frequently on existing tracks through the site. In November 2012, New Balance announced their intention to open the station in 2014. However, in May 2014, the expected opening was pushed back to the fall of 2016. The new station is being financed by New Balance under a public-private partnership agreement. Prior to a May 2013 renaming, the proposed station project was known as New Brighton Landing.

Able to be accessed from both side of the highway. The east end of the exit is connected with the bridge over the highway. The exit on the west end is a bigger one that connects to the parking lot.
This is now as bad as the red line. The eight twenty five train is consistently 20 minutes late. And then too crowded to board. The developers near here should let all their luxury apartment dwellers know that their only viable commute is either to new balance or to Harvard square on foot. The t is beyond broken.
Got off here as my dog having hard time on train. No idea where we were really. Walked length of station .. so freakin loud w mass tpike traffic.. came out on Everett St.. like where am I? Still tons of trafficnoise.. poor dog so anxious. She a chi mix . Reactive to lot of loud stuff. Tk a right as ppl walking thatway. Tk a bit to get to where a side st appeared so i cld calmher . Sit in some parking lot. Phone wldnt work. Not time for that!! Downloaded the android 11 hasnt been right since. No one til number 7 wld stop to answery ? Of where am I. One lady told me to leave her driveway. Anyway i think location and lack of any info at station is bad. We gonna hv togo back to tk trainhome. I not looking forward to it..
Very good service, fully assessable, walkable, greatly located, and lots of apartments near the station.
This is a brand new station that simply doesn't get enough service. Most, if not all, trains on the Framingham Worcester Line should stop here considering the fact that this is Allston and Brighton's only rail station that people waited years for. More than likely as this New Balance funded station gets more well known we'll have more service. It's a shame that this station goes dark after 8PM with NO trains stopping here making it impossible for anyone to get to and from the Metro West area after 8PM in both directions.
Nice station, but limited connectivity during business hours only. Needs some amenities as it can pretty brisk in the open with the wind. An enclosed area away from snow, wind is a must-have. Some facilities would be good too.
Great new station located close to home. Problem is that it needs more trains stopping. Most local trains even skip us.
One of the best things to happen to Boston since Sir Thomas Mumbles Menino, bayBEEEEE. For real.
Love the new station.
Nice new and efficient station... just wish they added the stop in more frequently
