"Alexander Roberts, MD, a Greenville, N.C. native, earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of California - Davis and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School's Rosalind Franklin University. He completed an internal medicine internship at Allegheny General Hospital and his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Vidant Medical Center formally Pitt County Memorial Hospital with East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine. Dr. Roberts is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, motorcycle riding, whitewater rafting, racquetball and hiking."

I had never had epidurals before, and I was very nervous. Dr. Roberts took his time with me, told me every step he would take, what to expect, and even what it would feel like. His calm, easy voice helped me to relax, and it was over very quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Roberts!
I was skeptical as a new patient. However, I found Dr. Roberts to be a world-class specialist and a wonderful staff that is so friendly and caring. Dr. Roberts explained what was going on the during the entire procedure and personally called to check on me the next day. The staff makes you feel like a long lost friend from the time you walk in the door until you leave. God has truly blessed me with this wonderful group of people.
Dr. Roberts explained each step in the procedure and checked on how I was doing. He was professional and caring. The next day, he called to see how I was doing and if there was problems. I would recommend him highly. Priscilla Estrada
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Roberts for a few plus years. He had a way of being patient w/his patience and addressing the issue at hand. His staff is awesome. I feel as though they’re an extended family. He makes a point to call directly himself to check on your progress. Thank you Dr. Roberts for all you done as I progress to being healthy and whole!! I have been a patient of Dr Roberts since 2015. He is absolutely the best, answering questions and sharing my x-rays with clear explanation! I brought a friend and she totally agrees. I have shortness of breath and it is not due to my scoliosis. He will refer me to a pulmonologist, which I am waiting on.
Dr Roberts is one of a kind! Not many Dr's will call the day after a procedure and check on you. Some have their nurse or MA. He calls himself. Not only that but he is just a good Dr all around.
I see Dr. Roberts for minimally invasive back/nerve treatment. He's great! Very patient and guides me through the treatment every time. No surprises! He personally followed up the day after treatment to check on me aa it was moving into the weekend. I would and do recommend him to anyone I meet that is having back issues. Awesome Doctor!
This is my 6-7 visit for steroid injections. Dr Roberts is very professional and tentative. He continuously checks in me to make sure I’m ok while he is doing these procedures. The best, most professional, part is HE always calls ME the next day to check on me. What physician does that these days? I am very pleased.
From the time I walked in the door, everyone, the receptionist, the nurse , Dr Roberts assistant, were ready to put me at ease. I cannot say enough good about Dr Roberts. I was having an epidural, while awake, and I was soooo anxious. He quickly began to calm my anxieties by his positive attitude. He was great!
Dr Roberts did an outstanding job. He told me exactly step by step what was going to happen and answered any questions I had. Not a big fan of needles or injections but his procedure probably.couldn’t have been ant smoother.
