Though a native New Yorker, Alex Abuza was introduced to garden and floral design by her grandmother, an avid perennial gardener and florist who lived on Cape Cod. Intrigued by the many design possibilities offered by flowers and plants, Alex began gardening professionally in Maine, designing and planting both ornamental and edible gardens for the estates on Maine’s Mt. Desert Island. Her vast experience in the gardening and home décor fields has afforded her a cohesive approach to garden and floral design. With an emphasis on texture and environment, Alex’s work has a natural, organic quality that extends throughout her landscape, lobby, or wedding designs. Still, she prides herself on being a designer that truly listens to her clients’ ideas, opinions, and inspirations. Alex works closely with her clients to make their dreams a reality.
