Small hiking trails with markers. Great for beginners and families with smaller or unexperienced kids. Small water fall, pond, creek. Did not immediately see any restrooms in this part of the part, but I could be wrong. Open field areas where people took their blankets and laid out. Playground: Good sized playground. Swings. Slides. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, on leash, of course. Picnic area: Plenty of picnic tables, even some grills.
This is a beautiful park to visit. They have areas that you can reserve, From what I understand, you need a reservation for 20 or more people when using the shelters. Nice trails, mini water falls. Great playgrounds. Picnic area: Grills, benches, Electrical boxes for use.
I just had a lovely stroll in Algonquin Park, a hidden gem tucked away from the city's hustle and bustle. It's got this tranquil pond that beautifully mirrors the sky, and a little trail winding its way around - perfect for a leisurely walk, a quick jog, or even a picnic with a view. Scattered across the park are some cool historic knick-knacks which make for a fascinating peek into the past. If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet without leaving town, a spot for that perfect snapshot, or a place to lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy the day, this park's got it. Well worth a visit!
A very pretty park to spend time with friends and family. I love the turtles basking in the sun. The ruins add to the aesthetics. Painters were setting up their easels to paint the exceptionally beautiful fall views across the small lake. Heart warming place. Must visit.
Nice, but bring good bug spray. Walk on historic grounds. Nice water streams. Have a doggie, walk your friend. Have kids, the park offers small playgrounds. You can barbecue, just get a permit in advance. Parking is available. Never too overcrowded. See the some brick landmarks where people worked over a century, making powder for ammunition . Double check this on the posts. Park closes early, maybe 8 or 9 pm.
Great little park with a beautiful walking path that runs alongside a gushing creek and waterfalls. Some Civil War era ruins on the grounds. Would be nice to have some information panels on site with the history of these ruins. Nice place for a picnic.
Great place to get out to if they have functions under the pavilions ... during summer the weather is up and down ... the restrooms are better than a hole in the floor that's it ... let the kids run the park or catch a game across the street at the baseball diamond
Beautiful park with tons of tables and areas to picnic or throw a party. The little walking paths were beautiful and well up kept. My only complaint was it was quite crowded when we were there as there were three different groups each having their own barbecue and party. Beautiful area though.
This is perfect spot for families with children of all ages and grandparents. Nice walk through the park, gorgeous views and easy pathways. Ruins evoke adventurous side and many questions from kids. Great site for pictures and creating memories. Very short drive from Beacon, NY, can Uber if don't have a car, just plan ahead to get Uber and wait a bit. It is nice picnic area. Tables under canopies, so its OK to be there during rain or full sun, there is enough shade. Absolutely recommend to visit and enjoy this park! Love it!
The park is littered with trash, peices of American history on display with graffiti all over it is appalling and a disgrace to America. The water is contaminated with some sort of chemical that is killing off all the fish as they are dead floating above the water. This place needs a complete clean up. Its ashame as this park could be absolutely beautiful.
