Oct 2022 Yes, I will be back. Hidden Gem of the Simi Valley area! I have to say, the services quite top-notch. The owner, or was he the manager, was really helpful and deciding what to choose off the menu. It's a sit-down place but feels like a takeout place as well. Good atmosphere, delicious food. A buddy and I opted for the lamb, made two different ways. He opted for the lamb kebab, which was quite a hefty portion, and also a Mediterranean style salad. The salad was great, it's like a chopped iceberg lettuce, with some tomato, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and some onion in the mix. Seasoned with oregano, olive oil come on a dash of vinegar, it's Tangy and refreshing all in one bite. The salad was huge, definitely a huge Bowl full. I got the sliced lamb plate, which also came with hummus and a salad. And some pita bread as well. It's like chipped beef, but lamb. Really tasty, quite flavorful. It's tangy, it's juicy, it's tender and moist. Since it comes with a few Pita breads, I made little mini Gyros, if that's what you want to call them. Spread some hummus in, put in some sliced lamb, and you're good to go. Service was great, both the waiter, and a person who I believe was either the owner or a manager came by to check up on us quite a few times over the course of 45 minutes or so. We took our time, and the outdoor seating was very pleasant this time of year. I think people who would really get the most out of this would be smaller families, and also Travelers passing through the area, like people riding their bicycles or motorcycles. It's definitely a place where you can hang out, enjoy some fresh air outside, or relax inside.
Decent Mediterranean food — tasty although somewhat more oily than most other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve been to. The portion sizes are huge, to the point that each of us was only able to eat slightly over half our dishes. Service was friendly and the owners seem really nice, donating large amounts of food to the homeless and very hospitable to all their customers.
Highly recommend! We ordered lentil soup, stuffed salmon, lamb shaurma and mint tea - everything was perfect! Juicy, fresh, packed with flavor! Cozy, clean and pleasant ambiance and waitresses.
Ali Baba is one of the best restaurants in Simi Valley. The staff is amazing and so friendly, very accommodating towards specific requests like for people with allergies and picky kids. They also have great family packs which are perfect for entertaining and perform tons of community focused efforts. We love this place!Food: 5/5

Do your taste buds a favor and eat here. Wow, so delicious. I showed up close to closing didn't realize when they closed, typically I check beforehand. Regardless of that, the employees were so sweet and accommodating. The Chai drink they have is the. best. chai. drink I have ever had. TOP notch place and TOP notch employees Chefs kiss
We had an awful experience at this place. It's a super expensive place for using store bought pita bread. We were charged $2 for hot sauce without telling us. And then $4 for using a credit card when we purchased over $100 in food. Food was mediocre with mediocre customer service. We actually came here looking for someone to cater our party on memorial day weekend. We'll keep looking. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you like to be robbed.
Every time I come home to visit - Ali Baba's is always on the list of places to go. The food is incredible & the people there always put a smile on your face. The chicken shawarma is delicious & the portions are great. The dessert is delicious too, my mouth is watering just thinking about the Baklava. Also, Ali Baba's does a lot for the communityleft over to food to homeless, etc & I think that speaks volumes of the great people that work there. I could not enough recommend this place enough & I'm looking forward to visiting next month! :
Wow, what find. All by accident. I believe this is Persian food. I hope I got that right. Don't want to offend anyone. I ordered the mixed Kabob combo. Comes with steak. Beef. Chicken. Lamb. Salad. Vegies and rice. Oh bread too. It was the tastiest meal. Sheer comfort. Big. Really two people could share. I will have a snack later. Friendly staff and good service. I would and will go back. 4 or more could try more items and have a great meal. I highly recommend this place.
If you're looking for some great Mediterranean food, this is the place to go. Their shawarma is great! I'm a fan of both their chicken shawarma sandwich or salad. Can't go wrong. Staff is friendly, prices are a good value. Takeout comes out pretty quick too!Food: 5/5
