We stayed here for one night. What a great find this was! Access is via a code key; some struggled with this. Just keep an eye on your emails for instructions from the Allegory Inn as we did and getting into both the building and our room was simple and straight forward. Some folks staying there found their email in their junk folder or promotions folder gmail There is plenty of parking, the room and bathroom both immaculate as was the shared kitchen. It was great meeting up with the other guests in the lounge area and sharing travel stories. We would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place to stay. It is smack in-between some of the best moose sighting areas there are. Also direct access to snow mobile trails. The entire Inn is spotless. Plenty of books, games to keep you occupied should you have time to relax at the house. Quick and easy access to other towns with large supermarkets and restaurants. Immediate responses from owner should you need anything. Kitchenette with everything you need for morning coffee or heating up meals. Can't say enough. I'll definitely return.
Our room was as described and perfect for what we needed. The Inn was quiet and decorated for the holiday season. I would suggest bringing snacks and drinks for after dinner hours as there are no stores nearby that are open late night. Also, the Inn is close to the road so a room towards the back cuts down on traffic noise at night. The room was cozy and there wasn't a thermostat in our room but there was a small fan for air circulation. The queen size bed was comfy. There is currently a small coffee shop down the road for breakfast. There is coffee and tea available in the shared kitchen but none seemed to be decaf. There are takeaway cups. We didn't see much of the property outside as we just stayed overnight for an event. We boarded our dogs at the nearby kennel, which was convenient and affordable.
We stayed at the Allegory Inn as part of a ski weekend in January 2023. The Inn comes as advertised and was an excellent stay! The location is perfect as it is 30 minutes from both Attitash and Loon mountain and about 1 Hr 15 mins from Sunday River. It is very affordable and one of most cost effective options in the area. As mentioned in many reviews it is meticulously cleaned and spotless! The inn has a homey feel like many old Victorians and is nice and quiet. The owners are extremely organized with details about the inn and keep you updated with really nice email communication with everything you need to know. We know there are no staff physically on site but one minor suggestion would be to get a coffee machine that supports K-cups or a quick coffee solution, as boiling a whole pot of coffee is a bit of a pain when on the move for a busy day. Overall our stay was excellent and we will definitely be staying here again!!
The Allegory Inn was a gem of a find in the White Mountains. We wanted to add a night to a weekend getaway at the last minute and our next in was booked. We found allegory Inn and 24 hours later we were check in and relaxing, enjoying the area and having a lovely start to our weekend. The details are impeccable from how to check in to what’s available during your stay. We will absolutely be back!
Cozy place to spend a night or two, the room was small to stay much longer. Convenient next to the road and the kitchenette and the shared spaces are a plus. The instructions to get in are long but very informative, we didn't have any issues getting there.
Enjoyed our stay at the Allegory Inn. Comfortable Clean and very Welcoming. The Kitchenette is definitely a plus! Made our coffee in the mornings and enjoyed the sunny comfortable sitting room! Super clean, comfy and spacious stay. Everything was very clean and spotless. We loved having a kitchen and full fridge to store our food items and make coffee/tea in morning. We only stayed one night, but we’d love to come back to explore the rest of the house and the hiking paths and outdoor space on the property. Self checkin/checkout was great and convenient. Would definitely stay here again and the price was very affordable and worth it.
Absolutely lovely place to stay! Quiet and homey, I felt like I was at my family's house and was actually surprised when I saw someone I didn't know! We had a fantastic weekend and can't wait to return.Rooms: 5/5
