The receptionist is very unprofessional. Please hire a new one
Doctor Bokhari is one of the most empathetic, kind, and understanding doctors I have ever been a patient of. When other doctors had dismissed my health issues due to "being so young" and "it's your fault you're fatigued because you do too much/not enough" or accused me of having a psychosomatic condition for which I just needed "a few anti anxiety meds and some antidepressants then you'll be right as rain" -- Dr Bokhari listened, assessed, advocated, and assured that I would get the care I needed. My life has been vastly improved due to the medication she started me on, and she has done wonders to help me manage my immune system as well as identify allergens that exacerbate my autoimmune issues and other chronic illness. She has been the most helpful also at referring me to other practices for additional care, and advocated for treatment plans and worked with my other doctors sending records so that we're all up-to-date across the board. It's nice to have a doctor that works with you so willingly and so diligently in making sure you can be your best!! When I bring a question to Dr. Bokhari, she always takes things to consideration, researches to find the best answer and/or presents me my options for treatment. She always takes the time to listen, and never dismisses my own research into potential health condition causes or treatment plans. Dr. Bokhari never belittles or berates me if I am hesitant to try a new treatment or start a medication, she respects this and finds me other alternatives or breaks it down for me so i'm less unnerved by trying something new. I have never once felt bullied or pressured into a treatment or test as I have with other doctors. Other doctors have given me ultimatums and talked down to me or been outright disrespectful; this is not the case with Dr. Bokhari. The staff is always polite, courteous, and efficient. They are good with scheduling appointments for emergency appts, follow ups, and far off appointments months down the line! They always take the time to make notes and pass along messages verbatim if I cannot reach the doctor via their online portal system. Wait times for this office can be long, and sometimes there's an over booking issue, but to be honest I hardly mind this. I know that Dr. Bokhari does her best to spend as much time as needed with her patients so they feel seen and heard and get proper care. Other doctors are in and out in 10 minutes flat with hardly any attention devoted to active listening or addressing concerns. I have left 3 other doctor's practices for this reason! Bring a book or a phone charger with you in case you have to wait, and please be kind to the office workers! They're doing their best and a lot of folks want to see Dr. Bokhari because she's so great. Just be patient : They'll get to you and she'll spend as much time as you need her to when she is able! Dr. Bokhari sees both adults and children in her office, too. So this is great if you need to take your whole family in for allergy stuff. You can all go to the same place and have your med records in one place.
This Doctor has kept me sick a long time prescribing me the same medication I have told her over and over that does not work The only thing this doctor cares about is the almighty buck STAY AWAY
