frustrated to say the least. I’ve always paid with venmo at this salon but my artist said that wasn’t an option. I was charged $118 for a pedi and full set. The acrylics were absolutely horrid and when At the start of getting my set, I showed him a design that had a plain/nude background and asked for an almond shape. He said he could do that but when it came time to start painting he blatantly said no to the design. I told him okay just do the plain color then. I grew very frustrated because once he had done all my nails he asked me about the design and wanted to start doing it, even though he previously told me no. I told him I didn’t want the design now that he had done my nails a solid color. Even the solid color was butchered, so I can only imagine how awful the design would’ve looked. He complained to me about the long line of people after me and stuck his tongue out and rolled his eyes. He was obviously rushing my work and said “don’t bite” when I told him to stay with the solid purple after trying to do the design he had just told me no to. I’m just very upset because I had told him about my frustrations that he wouldn’t do the design with the nude background and that he wouldn’t accept venmo, when it’s always been accepted my previous times. He acted oblivious and arrogant to everything. He followed me to my friend’s desk trying to hint for a tip for his awful service. I have been here before for other services mainly eyebrow waxing. But I got acrylic on my nails from a horrible place in Annapolis and needed them to take it off and use my real nails before I cut them. Everything was going well until she split the nail filing I always have bad experiences getting my natural nails done which is why I don't waste my patience or money on it I thought she would act like it didn't happen, I stay ready to act up but she examined it, brought it to my attention, I already knew just waiting to see what she was going to do haha! took her time repairing it, and finished with the design I showed her from IG she was as happy as I was at the results haha and it looked great so they are a yes for me.Service: Manicure

Everything was going well upon entry. Once the employees realized I had a Gift Certificate that my husband purchased from them for Mother's day, my overall service went down hill. First the nail tech changed, my water was cold, and then the color nail deck was sitting on the arm rest, I had chosen my color, but hadn't been asked which color yet. I simply stated when another employee grabbed it and gave it to another patron... I said to the employee that I was still looking at it. We finished the pedicure and then moved to nail station after my nails were done its time to pay... so the issue is that I wanted to pay the remaining balance which was $6. with my card but there is a $10 minimum. The lady says well you agreed to pay with your card so we don't owe you $4. How is this legal? I paid for service with the gift certificate my husband bought me and then my balance owed to them was $6. So where is my change after paying $10. So I asked will she nail tech get the remaining $4? She says No. This is why we can't live in grace together. I was cheated out $4 because I chose to use my card. The sad part about it after doing research they have no connection to Bowie Community what so ever and could careless about who lives there. The owners have multiple locations and it's simply OK to cheat me out of $4. Don't be fooled by this sign. And I was gonna leave a generous tip. #getoutofmycommunityServices: Pedicure

The place is clean and they saw me in a timely manner. However, my reason for the low stars is the lack of accountability. The polish used peeled very quickly and when I asked how I could fix it, I was told how I messed up and hit something. For the record, I didn't hit anything; the gel polish didn't hold up. I didn't even blame anyone, but he spent so much effort to gaslight me that it was ridiculous. Accountability goes a long way with me. Needless to say, I will not return, but I am pretty sure that they will not care.Service: Acrylic nails

I was a 1st time customer at Allure and received my services from Tee, which is a male. He was absolutely horrible! I asked the owner/manager to put me with someone experience and he said just rate him after he does your nails and you can see if you like him. I should e known then that it was going to be an issue. You know it’s bad when you have to take the file board and start shaping your nails yourself. I asked to not have boxy, square looking nails. They were to thick and square looking. Just a horrible experience. I definitely will not be returning.

I’ve been here twice so far and each time is a SLAY. The nail techs are quick, skilled, and so kind. I showed my nail tech forgot his name a reference photo from Pinterest and he OUTDID the reference… my nails turned out SO much better. This will def be my main nail salon bc of the great service, relaxing environment, and the great staff.

Full set was terrible. Technician was extremely rough on nails and feet and made me bleed twice and there is acrylic all on my nail bed and underneath my nails. Management argued with me when I brought it to their attention and stated that I should have pointed it out to the technician. I would have loved to except he hurriedly left before my nails were finished drying as he finished near closing. Management looked at my nails, told me to wash them to remove acrylic and stated that it did not appear that I had bled! They refused refund for my nails. I have had my nails done here many times but the customer service has gone downhill. I will not be returning.

First time here and must say I enjoyed getting my nails done. I had Phong do them and he was super nice with letting me know what he was doing and making me a happy Customer. Thank you, Will be returning

Brsutiful ambience. Terrible customer service. The tech didn't speak English? I don't know. Not one smile given. Wasn't directed where to dry nails after service. Wasn't checked to ensure nails were dry. ?? What led me to write this review? Charge was $15! Tech removed nail polish with my sandals still on my feet, applied new polish. Told me to get up. I found Allure Nails in a pinch, as my regular nail person went on vacation for a month. Now, the first two visits was with Helen, who left shortly after. She was great, and she listened to my likes and dislikes. Sonny provided my pedicure on my third visit, he was amazing. However, he doesn't do the nail services I require, so another person serviced my nails. Not only did he not listen when I said I didn't want the coffin shaped nails, I ended up asking for the file, so that I could show him what I wanted, by filing it myself. I made appointments for my sister-in law and I to have treatments for her wedding, with our appointments scheduled for 1:30pm. We didn't get seated until almost 2pm, and it took an extra 20 minutes for them to find a technician to start her services. My final visit was on Monday, November 14th. Not only did I end up with the same technician, who again, didn't listen, I had acrylic all over the sides of my fingers, that I had to ask to have removed. Not to mention, my acrylic overlay broke off within days, and they layers are starting to chip off on other nails, which by the way are my own nails. On the plus side, the salon is very sanitary, using new utensils out of the packages, the pedicure seats are comfortable and spread a part. However, they also charge a 3% up cost for use of cards, on top of the already high cost of services, and their customer service is shotty at best. I would not reccomend this place to anyone!
