The screen is huge, the sound system incredible, the stadium seating is steep so no one in front of you can block your field of vision. Well worth the ticket price for an action/adventure film in my opinion. I saw Mission Impossible there and so glad I did. By the way, their caramel popcorn is to die for! Read a lot of reviews regarding how filthy this place is. I saw the very first matinee of the day and I can't say the place was spotless, but nothing like what folks stated in words and documented in pictures. Perhaps that's the secret - go as early as possible if you can.
AMC Danbury 16 is good! I used to always come here to see movies and it was great! Going to the arcade in the back was always fun. There’s plenty of parking. Huge theater screens. Good seats. Definitely a good theater! Have a great day!
This was our first time at this theater and we really enjoyed it! Overall it felt like we were back in the 80s and we really loved the nostalgic feel of the place! We chose the Dolby Cinema theater and the sound and picture were great!

Rented a private theatre experience for the 7 of us. It was great! Only $99 and we had the entire 120 seat Auditorium 16 to ourselves. That’s how we like to roll!! We ordered the 10 person snack pack-popcorn, drink & candy for $50. Good people working there. Only negative was they had no chocolate at the concessions, chocolate is a must at movie time!
I have yet to go see a movie that's in one of the new, Dolby whatever they're called auditoriums with the nice reclining chairs, etc. Why are only 2 theaters like this? All the rest are old and smell like a urinal. I remember when this theater first opened and it was the coolest thing around. But Riverview Cinema in Southbury is newer, all auditoriums have the big leather recliners, the food selection is MUCH better AND the whole experience is muucchh cheaper. Danbury can do so much better! I know they were hit hard with covid, but Southbury lived thru it. Danbury needs to step up.
We were very impressed with the improvements to the theater. They had plenty of staff at the concessions so the lines were quick. The theater itself was as new and the seats were actually recliners. They’ll soon be dropping the higher prices for preferential seats!
Movie theater here is super busy right now with the specific shows out. Parking lot is filling up fast and line for popcorn/snacks is really long. Definitely try to get there early for your movie. Besides that it’s great. I’ve always had a nice experience at this theater.
i have never, in my life, been to a filthier theater. i cannot overstate it’s grotesqueness. there are INCHES of popcorn on the floor of the concessions. they are sold out of everything. the seats are awful. the floor is sticky. and the bathroom floor was soaked
The theater was very dirty and when I asked the manager to address the problem, he said he would. When we emerged from our movie 2 hours later nothing had been done. The ladies room was a disgrace. There were 4 employees standing and chatting as we left, clearly unconcerned about the comfort of customers. Is there no district manager who oversees the theaters and checks on reviews??
