I’ve had to call twice in the last 3 months to schedule an appointment with my doctor. Each time it’s been over a 45 minutes wait time to talk to someone. It’s very aggravating to wait that long. Glad I was home for the the call, but the other was while I was at work. Which doesn’t make your boss happy when you’re trying to run a machine and try to listen for someone to answer the phone. I used to love this place, but service is definitely lacking here anymore!!!! My husband hates to call here he cause he is self employed and has to run his equipment, so he loses money when his machine aren’t running. It also take too long for them to send stuff over to other places to be seen by someone else. I setting my husband up with a different doctor, and I will be changing after I get my issue taken care of first….
I went to a new Podiatrist today, Dr. Chan, and she had some different ideas about my care that I had never heard before, and I was very pleased!! If you have foot pain...go see this Doc!! I will be returning, often, probably a lot more than I would like lol!! And the really great part is I called yesterday to see if they take my insurance, and got in today to be seen...how GREAT is that!!
Unprofessional and Unethical. 1 Patients are Made Financially Responsible for AHN Staff's Failures. I was not notified prior to my follow-up appointment that the results from the surgeon were not in AHN's possession, so I kept the appointment. NP Julie Nottingham asked if there was anything else I needed while I was there. Asked for a recommendation for a therapist. Was given a laminated assessment and a highlighter and told to fill it out. The results were not looked at while I was there. Not even sure if they were looked at period. I was not spoken to about them. I was sent away a few minutes later with a googled list of clinics in the area. And I was still billed for the office visit. Challenged the bill on account of AHN's failure to notify but pointed out I would be willing to pay for the 'behavioral assessment' portion of it since that was actually done. Despite AHN's failure, I was made financially responsible for the entire bill without concessions or adjustments. 2 Effective communication with the patient is non-existent. First found out I had a potentially cancerous growth when I went in for what had up to this point been a rather routine surgery I'd had several times before as a safety precaution due to cancer running in the family. The fact that this was first I was told of such a thing, on the day of surgery from the performing surgeon is simply unacceptable. 3 Medical staff is uncaring to the point of dismissing patient concerns and commodifies patients. My concern regarding an issue with my ear was completely dismissed. It later turned out to be valid and was addressed accordingly with a non-AHN entity. The only thing AHN has going for them is their reception staff. They've always been incredibly friendly and helpful.
The service was very good today. There was about a 3 minute wait to be called by the nurse. The doctor went over many different details regarding the illness. Their bathroom was clean and well stocked.
Wife and I went in for a procedure. Both procedures were fully covered under preventative care through insurance I even pre-authorized. We saw two different doctors. THE DOCTORS AND STAFF WERE GREAT!!! However, when it came to billing, they tried to bill us double what they told us, and the insurance forced them to change it to the reasonable and customary that was agreed on. That closed out my wife's bill but mine, they created a SEPERATE bill for me and demanded payment. They refused to discuss it and repeatedly threatened to sue/tag my credit score for a bill I didn't owe. After a couple months, my insurance finally reached the office manager that agreed it was clear I did not owe the bill and fixed it. I just wonder how many people they have done this to. Most people wouldn't be tenacious enough to fight back as hard as was required and not for sure would just pay the bill.
A friend of mine went there a said she seen a nurse practitioner named Anita and she was really rude and would not listen to the symptoms. She was having and told her she was strictly there for headaches and back aches.
Dr. Michelle Cropper is one of the best! Each time we see her she takes time to listen to our concerns, discusses and advises of our options, and precedes with appropriate treatment to keep us healthy. We appreciate her lines and caring attitude.
Multiple circumstances of poor care. Recently went in for a sinus infection. Was hoping to be prescribed an antibiotic but was told I could have mucinex. My lungs are clear as told by the doctor. Which is what miconex is for but that was not my symptoms. My paperwork says I was being seen for a cough. When I called to make an appointment I told them I thought I had a sinus infection. Had been spitting out and blowing out yellow infection. They tried to have me make a check up appointment in five days to come back. For WHAT? I paid for a service and got nothing. They didn't do anything to help MY needs. What is the big deal to jot prescribe an ntibiotic? So I've woke up the past two mornings with excruciating head pain haven't had a fever and stilldon't. They tested me for the flu an covid and both came back negative. I do not reccommend going here they do not careabout your wellness.
Scheduled a vaccination appt for my sons. Arrived to the appt, waited over 45 minutes, got stuck with a nurse practitioner, she did a whole well child exam on both kids, asks if we need a sports physical I say we didn't bring the form.... Because we weren't there for a well visit/physical!... then she started to walk out. I said "but, we're here for vaxs!!!" , she says "oh". She had no idea! So we got this well visit we didn't ask for, THEN the vaxs after 1 hr 45 min. Fast forward 6 weeks to when the school releases the sports physicals. ... I call and ask if, since the kids got the all clear during the well visit we didn't ask for, she would sign off on the forms without another appt. NP Kerrigan informed me that, no, she would need to SEE THEM AGAIN, BECAUSE WE "DECLINED A SPORTS PHYSICAL AT THE LAST VISIT"! I was shocked! Money hungry at its finest. It would have taken three minutes to sign those forms. They had no understanding when I tried to explain that we weren't prepared at the last visit, because that's not what was scheduled.... Or that our insurance wouldn't pay for a physical NOW after we just had a well visit! Greedy, don't pay attention to what the patient is there for, inconsiderate... I'll be taking my sons somewhere else from now on. Super disappointing, and it makes me worry for people who have big issues happening where they need more in depth and important care! Scary, really.
Never had so much trouble with AHN before Optum bought them. Can't get any messages to my Dr. To get meds....I run out before I see her. Dr. Kimberly Mauller is great, but not happy with the new owners!
