The American Helicopter Museum & Education Center is the premier helicopter museum in the heartland of helicopter innovation.
Established in 1996, the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center collects, restores and displays historical aircraft, chronicles the origin and development of rotary wing aircraft and teaches about their lifesaving missions. As the only helicopter museum in the country it focuses on the science and technology of vertical flight to educate and inspire all generations. The museum displays over 35 civilian and military helicopters, autogiros and convertaplanes. Visitors can climb aboard helicopters of all kinds for a truly unique hands-on experience. The museum is located in historic West Chester, Pennsylvania, where this nation’s rotary wing aviation began and still thrives today.
Our Vision: To be the preeminent rotorcraft museum and education center in the United States and widely recognized as a major tourist destination in the mid-east region.
