I was pleasantly surprised about this camping. It’s huge and well kept Though the spots are small and your neighbors are pretty close we had a great time Playground is nice. There is a new and spotless playground but they left the old one that it’s rusty and not good at all for any kid, specially little ones. I wish they remove the old one Each spot has its own fire place but they are not secured to the floor and are very unstable. They need to do some improvements there There are some paved paths that are great for kids to ride their bike or scooter and they enforce the 5 miles p/h rule which makes the place safe The pool is heated and looks nice
We had a nice stay here. The people in the office were very helpful and kind! I would say the tent sites were a bit nicer then the RV spots. They have a cool, wooded location. There are some long term RV tenants that have a bit of clutter around. RV spots don’t have any privacy, kind of parking in a row but hookups are in good working order. Lots to do in the area, too!
1st time I've stayed at an RV/Tent site. Usually camp in secluded, primitive spots. This establishment is very nice. Bathrooms are SPOTLESS, smell very clean, with showers & coded entrance. There's a swimming pool!! But, it rained so we didn't use it. Sites are spacious, set well enough apart that we couldn't see the next campers. We were within walking distance to a port a potty, which was great! It was super clean as well with soap & a sink inside...yay! There's a little store inside the office that also rents out things like bouncy balls for kids there's a playground too, crab pots, etc & they sell campfire wood. Two miles to the beach that has surfers & a very long & slightly scary/dangerous jetty. Steer clear of the edge of the cliff around Half Moon Bay, if you wanna stay alive!!! I'm just waking up & I've heard no noise except birds & some frogs & that's wonderful. I haven't even heard any of the other dogs in the park. I highly recommend this camp site for tents &RVs because of all the reasons listed; PLUS it was under $40 & that's a great deal for a place at the last minute. Oh yeah... there's also a laundry room!
American Sunset RV and Tent Resort is a gem on the Washington coast. It combines exceptional facilities, breathtaking views, and a staff that treats you like family. If you're looking for a tranquil escape with a touch of adventure, this resort should be at the top of your list. I’ve been staying here each time I come to Westport, and I can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise for another unforgettable vacation.
Liked the camping spot the only problem was the bathrooms. For all the people they had one shower and two toilets for the women's and they were out of roller coaster the whole time.
Check in lady/manager or owner is a B***h! Completely rude right out the gate to everyone in our party. Kept reminding ya that “this was a bad weekend for you guys to choose” because it was veterans weekend and they were hosting a bunch of them. No clue why that had anything to do with us and she harassed us at our site multiple times talking about the veterans. We were not loud, or rude in anyway. We’ve been coming here for 8 years and have never caused an issue. We payed over $800 for our site for the weekend large group and deserve to be treated with respect. All the ice and water refill stations were out of service and there was a burn ban we were not told about so we had no way to cook any of the food we brought. Don’t know if I can recommend this place or not.
We were so disapointed with this place. Although our campsite was huge and nice, we found it really expensive for the minimal service. There were very few showers and no place at all to do the dishes. Also being talked so badly by the tenant when we arrived did not help to feel welcome.
Good camping, and good amount of space. Took hours to get toilet paper in the bathroom and lots of bees during the day. Also, dont be loud after 10pm or the old man will get you.
We've been coming here for about two years every camping season and have made so many valuable memories here. The restrooms are always well-maintained, and the office staff are very welcoming. There is a lot to do around here like fishing at the nearby Westhaven State Park and a walk around the piers, stores, and restaurants about 3 minutes away. Surfing here is really good too, with many rental shops around town. I definitely recommend the campground for a family getaway or just a nice time with your pals :
This is our favorite campground at the beach. The bathrooms are very clean. The grounds well maintained and they're so much to do for kids here. They staff is friendly and helpful. The little store had about everything you forgot to bring. They only way this place could be better is if it had beach views and I could walk to the water, but obviously location isn't their fault.
