American Top Team Stpete is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Mixed Martial Arts academy located at Tyrone Plaza. We are affiliated to American Top Team by Master Ricardo Liborio.
We are currently offering programs for Adults and Kids, as well as Fitness programs. At our location, we focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thay and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
Our programs are design to improve self-confidence and social development for both kids and adults, as well as to form the next generation of MMA fighters that will compete on one of the many Mixed Martial Arts competitions around the world.
Junior Fernandes started training BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) under Master Ricardo Liborio when he was only 12 years of age. He received his black belt from Master Liborio in 2004. (Read more about Junior Fernandes here)
American Top Team Instructor Jason Jimenez began training martial arts at the age of 4 and, after a while playing soccer, resumed training Aiki jitsu/Kung Fu at 14 years old. This form of martial arts is very similar to MMA in its sparring, striking, wrestling and ground techniques and use of joint locks and choke holds. In the early years of MMA, Jason graduated high school, enrolled in college and in 2004, Jason found Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/MMA/Muay Thai/Boxing/Judo/Wrestling and quickly fell in love and started competing He never looked back since that time and in 2015 has the great honor to be awarded his BJJ Black Belt under Master Junior Fernandes.
