Bring a jacket - very cold in the casino. Decent mix of machines, but very tight. Not really any swings or wins, all losing. Hard to have fun when you never win, even in small increments. Free soda machines worked well and dispensed a good mix, so taste was good, not watered down like you get at other places. Staff was very pleasant. Line at the Cafe was extremely slow. Did not stay at the hotel, so this review is limited to the casino.
There is a tesla supercharger so I stopped here for a quick charge, and despite being underage they allow you to enjoy their delicious food from the cafe inside. The workers are great and very kind. They gave a great wing suggestion, buffalo lemon pepper wings. The location is very appealing for more luck in your gambling. ;Service: 5/5
A dismal room with broken furniture. Unfortunately I stayed in room 210...described as a Deluxe Jacuzzi room. The cabinet door housing the refrigerator was HANGING crooked. The matching door was long vanished but it's hinges remained. The panel to access the filthy "jacuzzi" was pushed in...probably years ago as no maintenance or cleaning had apparently been done in awhile. The table in the elevator area was stained and sad. It would have been better if it were removed but sadness was celebrated on the second floor. The curtain in our room had a hole in it. If you are looking for a place to sleep one grade above camping at a Deluxe room price then you will not be disappointed. I'm an Army Veteran, I've roughed it before...and I survived. However this hotel will never enjoy another opportunity to take my family's money. The casino was tight. The people working there surly and rude. #Amerisad
I had a great time. Found machines with lower buy-in, so I got to play longer. Plus, I ended up taking a little more out than I put in. I would definitely come back.Service: 5/5
Pretty clean boat casino. First visit to Vicksburg and I left impressed. Great view of the Mississippi! Played for only a short time but enjoyed it. I would have to say Ameristar is first class! Didn't stay at hoer though so I can't vouch for that.Service: 4/5
We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The pool was a favorite of our daughter. We met several people from different areas of the country at the pool and in the lobby. My only recommendation would be to add more power outlets and add a microwave to the rooms. We had a King Deluxe Suite and still had to go down to the lobby to heat up any food. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.
Went to the casino and Cheryl at guest services was great, so kind. The security guards were nice, facility had clean bathrooms. It did not smell like smoke. Could be an awesome getaway for people. A couple of the wait staff members were miserable to deal with on the casino floor. I didn't order anything, but listening to the way they talked to and about customers.. ooo boy. Watching their attitudes grow worse when they were not tipped for their poor service and rude comments.. SAD.
Wow, Stinky hotel. The room was filthy. Rooms are not clean. Our beds was uncomfortable, bed cover and sheets were dirty , missing one sheet. Furniture was stained -The furniture and a carpet is in an ugly condition . The pictures that are on the website have to be old because that place is ran down. The whole hotel needs to be renovated. The hotel is NOT located adjacent to the casino. The hotel is across the street and up a very steep hill. They are not within walking distance. I would not stay here again if you paid me to.
Nice casino, the buffet is top notch. Lots of penny machines. It wasn't crowded like you would expect. For the most part the staff was friendly, except for the guy at the door Thrusday evening. He blocked the door and wouldn't let us in until we threw away out soft drinks.Rooms: 5/5
Firstly, it isn’t disclosed that the hotel isn’t attached to the casino. So if you’ve never stayed here you wouldn’t know this. It was disappointing The casino is on the river. The hotel is across the street but it needs to be a drive not a walk. The room. A little outdated but that’s ok. However the toilet in the room I was in whistled for at least a minute every time you flushed. Sounded like a teapot. The ice bucket had water that was not dumped out from the previous guest. The bathroom light was delayed. When you flip the switch it took at least 5 to 10 seconds to come on. The tub started filling up while I was in the shower and the plug was up. Before asking, I only needed this room for less than 9 hours and it was a comped room. Therefore I didn’t call the front desk. It was FREEZING in that hotel. Penn keeps revitalizing their rewards program but won’t put money into this. Rooms: Outdated. Nearby activities: The casino. That’s it. We seen nothing of value Safety: The areas close by seemed run down and sketchy. Walkability: The roads are mostly highway and not safe to walk on.
