Amigo's Mexican Grill

Found this quiet place tucked away in the corner of a shopping center while traveling. Overall, the food was good, the salsa was just right, and the chips were decent. I ordered the shrimp chili rellenos. The flavor was good, but the pepper was a little undercooked. The shrimp, on the other hand, were just right. I'd definitely return to try it again. The atmosphere and beer were great.

This place is terrific. Food is outstanding, service is even better I was a waitress in the day and appreciate it when it is exceptional. Server said, you’d like the 49, right? She came back a few minutes later…you like to swap for black beans, right? Remembering regular order is great, but recalling weird personal tweaks takes it to another level. And, if you’r you’re in the mood for a Margarita, to they are superb. Please check this place out…You won’t be disappointed!

Great Food Drinks was Awesome Wonderful atmosphere

Truly a hidden gem, I can't believe I've lived over here for so long and haven't been in until tonight! The restaurant is clean, the drinks are cold and delicious, and it's some of the best Mexican food I've had in this city! I was also blown away by how quick the service is! Excellent staff all around, very kind and knowledgeable. Thanks for everything!!

I have been going to this restaurant for years and they have never failed to have excellent food and wonderful service!

To go order - Husband had beef enchilada & taco combo and I had enchilada, refried beans and rice kids combo. We also ordered churros. Everything was delicious, fresh and tasty. Service was fast & friendly. We just moved to the area and are happy to find a great restaurant nearby.Food: 5/5

The chicken Ukateckas are delicious! Amazing Queso dilp. We have eaten there for the better part of 16 years. Great food, great service! Super clean! Sweet ladies always so eager to help with selections. They also welcome parties! Take a cake! And don’t forget to share a slice or two with your servers! It’s always much appreciated. Kid friendly with high chairs, wheelchairs accessible, too. All around, best Mexican in Hoover!

Very Cozy. Amigo's restaurant is set in a cubby in a plaza near Riverside Galleria. I highly recommend this place. Staff is very friendly as is the atmosphere ! It definitely beats the craziness of the Riverside Mall food court. The chips & salsa was a great start. Chips and dip were both fresh and the dip had a fresh taste. Now for the meal, it was very appealing to the nose upon arrival and my tongue was not disappointed. Very good food for all in my party. Pricing was also very reasonable. Amigos' inside was very clean and had again, very cozy vibe.
