Once again, Geocaching brought me to someplace beautiful. The cemetery is on a residential side street. Before and after school the area in front of the cemetery has a lot of kids walking by going to and from school. The cache is on the outside of the cemetery and can be accessed from the sidewalk. I timed my search for the cache so that no kids would see me searching. Once I finished with that I decided to go inside the gate and investigate the graveyard. It was early morning. I was the only person in the cemetery proper. The early morning mist had just about burnt off. The head stones here are amazing. Art that we, sadly, don’t get to make use of much any more. Nowadays it is all about the low profile in-the-ground grave markers that make it super easy to move the lawn. That's a shame. There are people buried here from the founding days of Anaheim. Their graves are marked by elaborate tombstones, by statues and some are contained in the various crypts. It is so beautiful how nature is taking back her own. The tree roots are growing right through graves and they are slowly pushing headstones aside. I would love it if there were a tour here like at the Yorba Cemetary. My only concern is that the crypts should be better-maintained. At least sweep them out!
Peaceful vibe with not enough parking spot but you can pull over and do ur thing.
They open the cemetery late for día de Los muertos to those who celebrate and have activities for children and free refreshments
My parents and brothers are buried there. I also have a plot next to my parents that I purchased in 2001. Great cemetary and staff. My father would go everyday to my moms gravesite when he was alive. He was featured in the Orange County Register.
I have a majority of my family buried here, beautiful park for final resting place.
Beautiful and well kept. Its nice and tucked away and gives you that real old fashion Anaheim feel.
All of my family is here it is beautiful and so peaceful
This place is so confusing I’m always losing my friends here!
My father is buried there and its close to our house
