I was referred to Dr. Madhu Gupta by Dr. Kim Yu approximately 8 years ago because she was leaving her practice. She referred all of her patients to Dr. Gupta. I have degenerative disc disease and have had 4 back surgeries. When I started with Dr. Gupta, it was very slow because she was merging two doctors offices together. That was soon corrected we didn't have that long wait anymore. Well to make a long story short....on 1/29/17 ...I called Dr. Gupta Sunday and asked her if I could come see her on Monday because I felt like I had pneumonia it was hurting me to breathe and the right side shoulder was hurting. Dr. Gupta told me to call E.M.S. I told her My husband would drive me. She told me get there quick. On our way to the hospital I get a text from Dr.Gupta saying Cardiac Team is standing by. When I gave the emergency room nurse my name things started rolling E.K.G. revealed I was having a HEART ATTACK! !! They took me straight to surgery. I had a heart caterization and two stents to open up two 100% blockages. The heart surgeon told me if I had waited any longer. .. I WOULD BE DEAD. Who knew Dr.Gupta would save my LIFE. She knew I was having a heart attack and I didn't. Thank God for Dr.Gupta
Dr. Gupta took over almost all of Dr. Yu's patients when Dr. Yu moved away. Yes in the beginning the wait was really long, but the staff was always pleasant and supportive. We've been with her now for many years and we don't regret it. We help train other doctors and nurses and our care has improved and getting better as time progresses.
