The Andrews Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1946 and has served the people of the city and county of Andrews diligently ever since. Made up of 45 dedicated volunteers, the members of Andrews Volunteer Fire Department stand ready to serve the fire and rescue needs of the community they protect.
To acquire, operate, and maintain firefighting, rescue, and other emergency equipment necessary for the preservation of life and the protection of property. To educate and train firefighters in the prevention and suppression of fires. To educate and train firefighters in proper rescue techniques and safety. To educate the public in fire prevention and public safety. To provide rescue, firefighting, and various other emergency services in the event of catastrophe, natural disaster, illness, or accident.
