Angels is the best!!! I had awesome care and concern in my recovery from a fall. Great nurses, pt, and they really care, and are kind. Thank you for all your help, and concern. Nancy Brown
Our recent experience with this agency left much to be desired. The agency was very prompt getting us set up and all their paperwork done but unfortunately, the nurses that came to facilitate the work left the impression that they were there to collect their pay, not to offer any meaningful assistance to their patient. They came out to take blood pressure, temperature and listen to heart and bowel tones but could not or would not assist in showering or even getting the patient to the bathroom while they were in the room. I was told they could not help with any of the patient’s needs like gloves for toilet assistance. Another agency’s nurse overheard them decline and went to the Angel Care’s office on our behalf and asked for gloves from the donation closet and was given them. I left mom to deliver some paperwork to the hospital and returned to find the Angels Care nurse talking to a staff member in the hallway as mom’s lunch was getting cold beside her bed. The nurse said she was waiting for someone to come feed her. The physical therapist, Laurie, was the only redeeming factor in our overall poor experience. She was helpful, caring, attentive and actively worked to make this program work for our mom’s needs. She deserves to work with like minded peers and the patients certainly deserve better care than the other staff was willing to provide. The current staff we encountered was anything but "Caring Angels.”
The nurses are kind and caring. Good communication with the primary Dr Spinks and Dr Howard Wilson. Labs, and physical therapy done in the patient's own home.They will come to the clinic and speak with the patient and family about what their needs are and how they do PT, Speech, OT, Diabetic care, and work with a family member to be a provider or have Genesis- provider care for bath and personal care.
I have seen the nurses of Angels Care Lake Jackson go above and beyond time and time again. They truly love their patients.
