In 1954 Jim Poor started a small tackle shop in the basement of the Littleton Motel called Mountain View Tackle. At that time, Littleton was not a suburb of Denver. It was a small Front Range town on the South Platte River.
In its early years, Mountain View was a general tackle store, serving conventional anglers and fly fisherman. Jim was an innovator of small flies and became a key figure in the development of fly fishing in Colorado and across the Rocky Mountain West.
In 1969, the city of Littleton relocated Mountain View tackle in order to build Arapahoe Community College. With a new location just a mile up the road, the name was changed to Anglers All and the legend was born. Anglers All is still in the same building today.
Jim and his wife Jane continued to own and operate the store until the mid 1980’s when Bill Shappell and Terry Nicholson took the reigns. Eventually, Terry and his wife Lori became the sole owners and it stayed that way until 2009. Anglers All has been a strictly fly fishing shop for decades.
In 2009 Chris Keeley took over for Terry and Lori. No matter the year, the water conditions, or the species of fish, Anglers All has provided anglers with the best information and equipment for 60 years and counting..
