I was very nervous to start with a new vet office. I had several people give me positive reviews of Animal Health Services. I took my puppy in and was so happy to feel the positive and professional atmosphere. They were very welcoming and pleasant. The vet took the time to answer all of my questions. Everyone that we were in contact with were happy to stop and say hi to my pup. He was not in the least bit scared. I made 2 more appointments immediately. It was 100% a positive experience.
Great to have a way to neuter, but some things to consider: Costs to neuter anywhere have gone up 200%-300% since before the pandemic, the scheduled wait was 3 months, and low cost for low income alternatives in Cowlitz have not started operating again yet and when they do, I imagine long waits. The initial quote was for over $400, but they didn't mention that there is an optional service tacked on at the time, so after going in the total was actually more like $300. The service was good and they had the better costs from me calling around, even though the costs are still high everywhere in my opinion. High enough that much more careful consideration will be placed into when and how many pets we will have going forward.
I was very impressed with the Dr that seen pepper. I felt she took her time explaining things to me. I’m new to the bunny thing and she gave me advise on having pepper.. she did not rush me at all. She actually sat down and let me ask her questions about bunny’s.
You all did an amazing job with our cat Serene. When people in cowlitz county ask for a veterinarian recommendation, I'll definitely tell them about Animal Health Services
I am so thankful for these guys! My dog needed a semi-urgent surgery, and they were able to get me in quickly. The recovery process was not exactly easy for my dog. We had to come in for multiple visits on very short notice over the course of her recovery. They answered every question I asked and took their time looking my dog over on each visit. I really want to emphasize that because they are BUSY. While I can tell all of the employees are running around to help everyone as quickly as possible, it doesn't feel that way when they are assisting you. Seriously great people there!
Our Boxer, Hubert, is our baby and we don’t trust him to just anyone. Animal Health Services is excellent, I love the staff here. The vets are kind and caring. Well worth the wait to get in.
THIS IS NOT AN EMERGENCY VET! My boyfriend recently had an issue with his cat, and called here to ask if they would see him. They scheduled the appointment for 7 hours after he called. His cat's health started getting worse so he brought him in early to see if there was anything they could do. Nobody was free to see the cat, and the receptionist was extremely rude and uncaring. His cat died 20 minutes after they refused to see him. At the very least, maybe they could have put his cat down so he didn't have to keep suffering until he stopped breathing in my boyfriends arms, but unfortunately this place does NOT care and is NOT equipped to handle emergencies like they claim. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!
Staff is friendly and helpful. Our dog is a rescue and is afraid of a lot stuff and he does very good at this vet clinic. We appreciate the kind care he receives. Thank You to the veterinarians and staff!
The staff here were soooo patient and kind with my difficult kitty! I took her in for an emergency appointment which does cost $140 extra, but this is a lot cheaper than other vets that offer emergency care, and we were out within an hour. Will definitely return in the future!
Our little Misschief had a really nasty cold and she wasn't eating or drinking because she couldn't smell her food we took her to this vet who has treated all of our cats with wonderful care and compassion they did a great job she's now a happy little kitty still slightly congested but she's doing great and up to her mischievous little tricks
