Like most pet owners, our dog is our child - and we wouldn’t settle for anything less than the best care for her and AHCS provides that! We have been extremely pleased with this vet since becoming a new patient after moving to the area about a year ago. We always have had doctors that are great listeners to our concerns, and very helpful at explaining all options in terms that are easier to understand than medical language sometimes. Always have friendly service from the techs and those at the desk in person or on the phone too. Can’t recommend them enough!
The staff are professional and Dr. Dan is very knowledgeable and honest veterinarian. My daughter and I share four cats and three dogs and would only take our fur babies to the best veterinarian and importantly "affordable". Thank you to all the staff and Doctors. Bruno, Roxy and Garfield
We have been bringing our pets here for 7 years and will continue to see Dr. Dan and his team! We recently had a major scare with our 3yo lab mix, and they were able to get her seen immediately, and she's already on her path to wellness! We are very impressed with their efficiency and treatment plans. Thank you to everyone at AHCS!
These folks are amazing! Their staff remembers you visit to visit. Dr Devin and Dr. Dan are very knowledgeable and listen to the clients points and then collaborate on the care of your pet. Rather than demanding that XYZ is done. Office: you ladies are all amazing. Sorry I can’t remember your names but so far everyone I’ve met is a sweetheart with a servants heart! There are no words to describe how thankful i am for everyone there. June 7 was the first time the staff laid eyes on Angelmy cat…i thought she was just constipated and would leave with me. She didn’t…her liver had gave out. Time stood still then my whole world imploded. When i tell you that they took good care of my baby i mean you can look but you won’t find better. I love all of you, God bless and keep you and your families safe. Sidenote; One dad, i was missing Angel all I’d accomplished was tears. i went to check the mailbox. This was waiting on me. Words can't describe my thankfulness for Dr. Dan Muelhaupt and his staff. We started as clients at AHCS in February of 2023. My 11 month old puppy has had numerous issues, and many vet visits to AHCS since we adopted her in January of 2023. Each and every time that I bring her in for an appointment, or call the office with a question, the staff is always incredibly kind and professional. All of the Veterinarians and Techs on staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. Dr. Dan is who we regularly see, and he is a phenomenal veterinarian. He is thorough, patient, and amazing with my Husky. I couldn't be more pleased with our experiences here, and we will absolutely be clients for as long as we remain in Colorado.
There was an issue where I was told a follow up appointment would be free as they only had to look in my dog's ear for a few seconds and I was very disappointed to be charged $65 for this. Two days later, they called us to say they would refund the money. At that point I changed this from a 1 star to a 3. This vet is average as far as the care they provide. They make a habit out of trying to sell extra things you don't need, and I keep seeing fees/charges on my invoices that don't make any sense. The OSHA fee, for example, why is that my responsibility? I have never seen this at any other vet. Some of the bills I have received at this clinic are outrageously expensive - one time paid over $100 for an exam to confirm what we already knew just because I needed the referral to an orthopedic surgeon for my dog's knee. The examination in this appointment lasted maybe a minute - getting paid $100 for a minute of work must be nice, right? In summary - they are EXPENSIVE and the quality of the care they provide does not justify it.
We have been using this office since 2019 when we came to Dr. Dan for a second opinion on our sick pup. He knew right away from a physical exam and review of his information that something was seriously wrong. He was right, our boy had an untreatable cancer. He was euthanized at an emergency clinic, but Dr. Dan followed up with us and offered his condolences. We made the switch for our second dog to this office after our experience and the rest is history. We are always met with kind, compassionate providers and staff. When lab results come in they call and answer all of your questions. Finding care for your furry friends can be hard, but this office will go above and beyond, so look no further.
Dr. Dan and his staff were very kind, attentive and thorough examining our dog and cat. When our cat had an adverse reaction to his vaccines, the hospital got us back in that same day and were very understanding and helpful and knew what to do right away. So appreciate you guys! Thank you!
Super helpful on the phone when my pupper was having digestive distress. Had her first appointment last week and I was so happy with my experience. Friendly and kind techs, easy-going doc who made time to talk to me about my new dog. The price was much less than I imagined, even with getting some heart worm and flea/tick medication. So glad to have found this practice!
