Two weeks ago, we put my beloved, thirteen-year old Bruno down. It was by far the worst experience my family and I have ever been through. He was more than a dog, he was our little family member. Everything happened so quickly. Dr. Bravo fit us in at the last minute and gave us as much time as we needed with our big, fluffy, fur ball. When the time came, Dr. Bravo and his staff were very informative, patient, and compassionate. While we held onto Bruno as he passed, I thought, "If only I had something to commemorate his paw prints with." But alas, everything happened so quickly with no time to prepare. Dr. Bravo's staff gave us a little bag that we were able to collect some of Bruno's fur with. Flash forward two weeks, and I received a beautiful card from Animal Paradise Hospital with Bruno's little paw prints inside. This was so thoughtful and brought happy tears to my eyes. The entire family loved this gesture. It will be framed and placed under Bruno's portrait that I have commissioned and his ashes. Thank you, Dr. Bravo and Animal Paradise Hospital!
I just moved to the neighborhood and came here because I saw good reviews. Sufficient to say I will not be coming back here again. I took my cat for a blood test. 1 the wound looks bigger than what I would expect from a blood test. His entire leg was wet and there was still left over blood at the wound. But most importantly, they did not even bother to put on a bandage and just sent him back licking his own wound! 2 we spent an hour in one of their exam rooms for the blood test. They must have some kind of diffuser in the room that gives the room a VERY strong smell. I can’t even breathe in their as a human so I can’t imagine how dogs and cats who are so sensitive to smells are doing there. It can not be good for their health and I’m surprised to see such a thing in an animal hospital. 3 they have some quite big birds in the lobby which can startle some cats and dogs. Honestly the whole place feels quite unprofessional and not so thoughtful for animals. I would recommend looking at other places.
Absolutely love this clinic. I’ve been bringing my husky here for about two years since I’ve lived local and I honestly haven’t found the care and attention to detail they provide anywhere else. Dr. Bravo is amazing and straight forward, always tries to present logical solutions also affordable as well. Customer service and follow up is excellent. Highly recommend
if i could give this place 0 stars, i would. they are terrible, especially the people we dealt with today. we waited over an hour for the doctor to see my pets. then we waited another 30 minutes for them to get shots. i have one of the most docile pets ever and they managed to get him so upset that he couldn't even get the shots that he needed. one of the techs there was very scared of cats. they were even bragging how many scratches they hsd received from cats today. that should have been a red flag for me as they obviously don't know how to hold or handle them. the two girls that worked there are very inexperienced that they had to bring in another tech to help give a shot, but since these girls manage to really aggravate my pet by trying to hold my pet down, the shot wasn't given. if you want to traumatize your pets and wait for a long time, then definitely go to this place. if you want to treat your pets right, then go to another place. any place is better than this place.
Per my family...Staff is very professional, respectful and took great care of both of our cats. The first time was to care for our cat as it was approaching the very end of her long life. The second time was to treat our newly added kitten for what was potentially a severe leg issue. What appeared to be a possible sprained leg due to an accident has healed just fine. Our kitten was given all her shots and even had her nails trimmed. She is 100% healthy . The one complaint we had was during a weekend when we were worried for our kitten, we were turned away to go to a 24 hr urgent care vet in Hoboken and that was nearly a costly mistake. The front desk attendant said my family needed to schedule an appointment despite being somewhat regulars. Despite this gaffe, pricing is reasonable and the staff definitely cares for the animals.
The Doctors are great; excellent care & gentle with the dogs. The staff also is very friendly and knowledgeable. My dog got older and wouldn't eat or take walks. Dr Elshafi was very good at taking care of him. ad not pushy about next step. When I thought it was time, he was very comforting to me and smoothing for my dog.
Have been bringing my pets here for a while and the staff is nice. Just have a complaint with their scheduling as I had originally scheduled for a cat grooming and was told that she needed to be seen by the Vet first and to get rabies shot. Fine, we complied but when we went in for the originally scheduled grooming appt, was very disappointed that they had erased it from their system! Needlessly, I had given my cat 2 Gabapentin capsules 2 hrs prior. Very unfortunate. They could have at least reminded us about the grooming appt that needed to be made again! after the Vet saw her. Just saying.
Brought my rescue dog to be examined. Staff very nice and was taken in pretty quickly. Dr Elshafie was very thorough and very easy-going with my dog. Also got results of tests within 2 days.
They always take such great care of our pup and always follow up to check on how he's doing. We love Animal Paradise
Dr. E and most of the staff are amazing. Our last trip there wasn't exactly pleasant though as they were incredibly rough with our pet for no good reason.
