I was born in this hospital many many years ago, lost my mom in this hospital 20 years ago, had my daughter in this hospital 9 years ago and I was in the hospital for over a week because I couldn't walk after I gave birth. I don't know exactly what happened because I was under so much medication. I don't really remember much, then at home I couldn't walk for over a month, fast forward to three weeks ago I go for stomach pain, that is the closest hospital to me and I was in severe pain, I've had pancreatitis so that's what I assumed it was again, don't judge I'm not a saint, but apparently they DO. After 5 hours of waiting they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me home. They said if you feel worse feel free to come back. 4 days later I went to Sharp Coronado, they diagnosed me with diverticulitis gave me antibiotics and had my pain controlled within 3 hrs and I feel way better. Come to find out Paradise valley hospital did the same thing to another person and he's dead. Now the family is suing the hospital for wrongful death. I can't help but wonder if that could have also been me if I would have waited a couple more weeks, That hospital needs to close and be held accountable for all the damage they're causing people that they think are not worthy of their care. I don't believe that's part of the Hippocratic oath doctors take.
Walked in on Sunday due to contact with cactus while hiking. The urgent care and other clinics were unavailable, so I’ve got in emergency room in the nearest hospital. Paradise Valley Hospital team was prompt and professional and got me discharged quick with the medications.
Worst clinic ever. I came late to my sons appt. By 8 min, they said the cut off is 7 min. They called Dr.Law to see if she will still take us. She said no, so i reschedule for the next week. I come in 25 minutes earlier than my appointment time. They kept me there for more than an hour. My son is sick && they didnt even call him in. I asked whats taking so long, they said theres no available rooms. We kept waiting && see many other patients go && come out. We stayed in the lobby till 11 && left. Just horrible experience.
All of the staff were very professional and caring. If it didn't take so long to get the results for the xrays then I would have given 5stars. I wish I would have asked for the name of the nurse that helped my mother back and forth to the restroom??? She was very caring and patient with my mother
My dad is 85 and he fell and fractured his hip while on vacation. He was brought to this hospital. My dad is from the Fresno area and I’m LA county. So him being so far from home was hard. Lucky for us my dad landed at Paradise Valley Hospital! They have great drs, nurses and an awesome staff. Upon my first visit I immediately got a good vibe. My dad was well taken care of and the case managers worked closely with us to help us move my dad a step closer to home. We are very greatful for everything they did for our father.
Everthing from Transport to being Discharged from your Emergency Department was Exceptional. Your entire Staff was a Cut Above with their Caring and Professionalism and with just enough Humor to make me feel Comfortable even with the Pain I was experiencing. This included random Staff that just happen to pass by the Area I was in with an acknowledgement Smile. All truly Assets to your Facility. Thank you, Theresa
OMG I’m healed!!!! The pamphlet about grief they gave me has made me no longer want to commit suicide!!!! So glad they offered me such an incredible solution to no longer wanting to breath air on this planet anymore!!!! Can’t wait for the $5,000 bill!!!!!! Can’t forget their suggestion to eat healthy and work out!!!! Absolutely brilliant health care!!!!
I had read bad things about Paradise Valley hospital so I was was really nervous about going to the ER. But thanks to all the staff from the ER to my admission and the wonderful nurses on the 6th floor I will always be thankful for caring for me with real feelings. They truly care about their patients. My favorite nurses were Norlita and Jennifer. They made me feel at ease. Another angel is Dr Hekmat. He truly cares for his patients. I'll always recommend Paradise Valley hospital because it was nothing like I thought it was. Or had read from different sources Thank you Paradise Valley hospital for the excellent care from the most excellent medical team. Forever grateful, April Golden
The ER seems to be fine but the hospital transferred my uncle 30 minutes away to Scripps Memorial in Encinitas to see a specialist and never transferred him back. He had to take a cab back home out of pocket. Update: Luckily Scripps paid for the cab! PVH also kept/discarded his clothes so he took the entire taxi ride home in a hospital gown and socks. When we called PVH they said they never had a record of him being there and there was no way to talk to the team that saw him or get his belonging back. If you're calling into the Operator for help or information, don't bother.
Everyone treated me with tender loving care, very attentive to my needs, explain to me what I need to be done after discharge and with the bonus of smile while providing care.
