Anna's Pizza Gloucester

The picture used to be a chicken parm…as you can see I was a fan. The flavor was great, it came out steaming hot, and although busy my server was awesome. I’ll be back on my next trip up.Food: 5/5

Used to attend here regularly pre-pandemic, the food and service was always good. However, after they closed down the second dining room, I stopped going for anything other than takeout. Yesterday my niece decided this was where she wanted to eat dinner. When we entered there was one other person in there, it was around 5, and considering the dinner "crowd" is about to filter in, the place was filthy. Instead of properly cleaning the tables and sweeping the floors, the waitresses were on their phones and chatting with each other for long periods of time. The fries were delicious even though I don't like fries, but the pizza was not good at all, I have made better myself. I understand being shorthanded, but something here needs to improve before this sadly becomes a thing of the past.

We really liked the pizza that we had here. Murals on the walls were nice. The seat yourself sign is too far inside the building when you go in. I was not impressed that the wait staff was sitting down eating their meals as well as waiting on tables during bites. I understand that people have break, but feel break should be separated from work time. The open kitchen where you can see your pizza being made, the dough being tossed, and watch the staff put the pizza in the oven was amazing and a nice break from the big pizza chain stores. They really sell the sizzle with this. The wait staff was polite and courteous as well as being timely on getting food and drinks to us. I liked the atmosphere here, that this is a local eatery where everyone knows everyone, and it feels like a real community gathering place. I would recommend that anyone in the area stop in and have some food.

I ordered a build your own calzone with spinach, broccoli and black olives. Eat about half before I realized they added HAM to bottom inside of it! Disgusting! I was very clear with my order and this happened. SMH Never going there again.

Best Stromboli ever. And I had friend we called Mike pizza, use to drive over hour to get his. Just wish they delivered. Always friendly staff as wellFood: 5/5

Stopped here on our trip from Indiana. Couple of things..... Wait staff was super helpful. Bread sticks with cheese was delicious. Food was super yummy. Highly recommend.

Had my favorite, stromboli with mushrooms & Italian sausage. Delicious right from the oven. The marinara dipping sauce was the best.Food: 5/5

I have lived in Gloucester, VA since '83. I've seen Anna's change over the years and not for the best. Their food used to be very good and the portion sizes were good. Now they give you a Philly was all onions, green peppers, and cheese. The meat was lacking there of. By that I mean there was almost none. Literally picked it off in two small fork amounts. Can't believe they charge $9.25 for this.

Best pizza in Gloucester, most of the time. Most recently the quality has slipped and someone decided to add their opinion to the inside of my pizza box.

My family has been going to this restaurant ever since it opened in Gloucester, Va the food is incredible The pizza, lasagna, and such is incredible I say again that is just how incredible and special this place is
