Our thirty-lane facility is available for private rental, birthday parties, open bowling and leagues. Nice spot! Good prices and staff. The lanes are well taken care off; as well as all other equipment. The food was surprisingly delicious. I recommend the Appetizer tray There is also a very good Arcade with a ticket redemption system, where you redeem tickets for prizes!
Went with family while visiting from Virginia Beach. Wasn't crowded at all and the kids had a blast. Would definitely visit again when we are in the area.
I will probably get in trouble for giving them 3 stars as I bowl there in a league. The owner of the bowling ally is a very nice guy and so is his daughter who mostly runs it. The bowling ally needs work. Some of the lanes seem to continue to have the same problem week after week and unfortunately it makes it hard to bowl there at times. For a family looking to get out for and evening I believe it would be a little different and they would enjoy bowling there. I have bowled there on my own and not in league and had a great time. The snack bar in the evenings when I go there is run very well, the young girl cooking does a great job and the young girl taking the orders does a great job too. They do a good job in helping to fix something for you that is not always on the menu, but they know that it is something that you like, so they try and accommodate you. I really would like to give it a better rating because I like the people who own it, the problem is that as a local guide reviewer, I need to be honest for people to respect my reviews and trust them.
We had a blast! I will definitely recommend this place for birthday parties. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating of our party!! Fun bowling the DJ was also great!! Our family had a really great time!!!
Village Lanes is a good place to go bowling at on Saturdays which I really love having to go there cause I get to spend time with my best friend in the whole universe Bryce and the others as I'm bowling. They can use some more ramps for those of us who really need them. I so really love the staff that work over there are really nice and friendly like Mrs. Teresa. They're food is really good which I really enjoy the mini corndogs. The restrooms are nicely cleaned up and big improvement of the stalls.
My siblings and I went to this place seeking some fun in Virginia as we were staying there. We saw what we think was the owner. We asked him how much a game was and he said $4. We asked him if he meant $4 for as many people as we wanted he said yes. So then we played two games. When we finished he said $47.00 and we were shocked. Apparently it was $3.75 just to rent shoes and we had 4 people and it was $32.00 from bowling. WHAT!!! He had told us it was $4 a game but we just went along. Also the place is a little outdated. Our lane got broken and the were very polite and fixed it. When we went to order pizza because they were advertising it they said they did not sell pizza. They had a whole menu and were only selling two things. Our food was cooked in a microwave. We had lots of fun bowling though.
The establishment is descent enough. A little small, a little older facility could use a good remodel. I have been here all my life and my family has been here since the 1700s, it has been the same as long as I have been alive. I know this and the movie theater next door were purchased so that may make a difference in the future. It is a nice little place and is inexpensive fun.
We got invited here for a birthday party. The kids had alot of fun and the food was decent. However the staff could be more friendly. Once the child had opened her gifts we were rushed out. My child turned in his bowling shoes and they were very rude about giving him his personal shoes back. And we went to tell a lady a bowling ball was stuck and we got the response "well whys it down there. The lanes are shut down." The ball was stuck when they shut the lanes off in the first place. At that point we were done!
I used to go here when I was a kid with my dad so I figured I’d go and support a smaller business, with my family like old times. Well that was a mistake. They don’t allow bumpers unless you’re a kid. She made the guy take them down. Not good customer service. She had an attitude about it. Sorry I’m not a pro bowler. AMF Lanes it is! Love your attitude with your response! Great way to get customers to come back
Workers are really rude, and the place needs a bit of fixing up. It would be a nice place to bowl if the workers were able to make you feel more welcomed. They are nicer to kids, but once you get over the age of ten the staff are rude. They arent very professional and always have an attitude. Also, dont recommend the food here.
