The mission of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® is to be the premier park in California in protecting and managing resources, inspiring and educating park patrons, and serving those needs of the public which are consistent with park objectives; to provide stewardship for the vast array of natural and cultural resources found throughout the Park; to preserve the landscape and scenery of the Park in a pristine condition; to inspire, educate, and instill a sense of wonder in park visitors about the values of the Colorado Desert; to provide facilities consistent with the enjoyment of the Park which are clean and in good repair; to encourage employees, volunteers, and partners to be ambassadors of the park-message through their involvement with other persons, agencies, organizations, and associations; to sustain a work environment which encourages good health, creativity, honesty, fellowship, and a positive exchange of ideas among employees and volunteers; to develop and maintain partnerships that are effective in helping to meet the objectives of the Park; to provide programs which satisfy the multicultural needs of park visitors; to delight park visitors with the service they have received from our employees and volunteers.
