Marco Island, the largest of Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands, is tucked away in the Gulf of Mexico. It is a small, comfortable Island, 6 miles by 4 miles, linked to the mainland by two bridges.
In 2014, TripAdvisor voted Marco Island the number one island in the U.S. and ranked it the fourth best island in the world. The largest on-line travel site went on to describe Marco Island as “the perfect destination for those who crave a peaceful retreat.”
