My friends and family have been going here for years and this weekend will absolutely be our last time. They have been purchased by a new group and they have completely ruined the campground. I was reading through the recent reviews and it shows we are not the only one that have experienced this change for the worst. And seeing their generic responses show that they do not care about their guests and will not change. When we arrived, all of the people that went with us received different prices than what they were told when we made the reservations. Not only were they different from the promised rate, we all had different totals but we stayed in the same location for the same amount of time. We also had a few others that wanted to book to stay with all of us, and they were told they were completely sold out. We counted 10+ spots that were vacant the entire time we were there including 3 directly next to our group. Hopefully someone buys them that actually knows what they’re doing, because this owner group is absolute trash. Ruined one of our favorite campgrounds and lost many guests.
As a family of 7, I was nervous to go camping. Taking 5 kids anywhere is very difficult. Arriving at this campground, I loved the cabin. It was beautiful. That being said- the assistant manager gave me the worst experience I have ever had. Not just camping but in my life. I have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard as I was tonight. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Waste of money, waste of time and a life experience I could have done without. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Safety: I felt personally attacked. This place was unsafe for me and my family.
It has been a long time to find another camp ground that we love. This weekend was the first time we have been there and we will be back multiple times throughout the years to come. I have already spread the work. Thanks Appalachian campground for a great weekendService: 5/5
It was a nice campground with lots of trees in the older section of the campground. With nice wide sites. The newer section had full hook up and smaller sites and little trees. Easy on and off the highway. Everyone was friendlyService: 4/5
Very much like the campgrounds. We're in cabins, my only issue is that the rain pooled up next the the cabin the only place where we could set up the food pavilions and cooking equipment. So had a mad dash to put up the cooking equipment. Otherwise another great campground visited Noteworthy details: Old-school jukebox in the game room, cheap mini golf and a great prices restaurant.
I've been here for numerous events but I've never stayed here overnight myself, so take this review with a grain of salt. My wife, daughter, and numerous friends stay here and they love it. Everything looks nice, the restaurant is good, the events are fun, and the pond is loaded with fish. Food & drinks: Under new ownership for 2023 but I can't compare them yet.
This was our first time here we Absolutely love it here this Gem Is 10 out 0f 10 the sites are nice & Most are pull through the staff are super friendly & Helpful the pool is heated & clean they have activates for all ages an onsite Restaurant with great options mini golf volleyball fishing nice playground for children we HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We checked on the web and found this campground which is part of the Thousand Trails rv parks We were asthonished when we realized that we were charged 91$ for a night to park our motorhome. For this price we had no wifi at sites You need to be near the office to have wifi. The bathrooms were old .We could hear the road noise coming from the interstate. Definitely not a good camping experience. The price is overated and we will definitely not come back and we will not stay at other Thousand Trails rv parks.
First you have to pay for wifi.... who does that now a days... really? And if you need to do laundry ...make sure you have the right card they have to do it... or drive outside the campground And to bring your trash out, it's outside the park... Who does that? Bathrooms are ok. The pool is heated until summer .
We had a really wonderful weekend here. Everyone was exceptionally nice and helpful both the staff and other campers. Our space #17 was spacious. You could hear road noise from our site but we preferred to be a little more secluded. Would definitely stay here again.
