We absolutely love Boulder Woods . It's a family atmosphere. All the campers are super friendly and helpful. The owners Bill and Kay are the best ,they make sure their guests are happy . The staff is great !! I love how they have the potluck meals and community fires with entertainment it brings everyone together . The playground and pools are great !! They are dog/ cat friendly .Kay is an animal lover .Best place I have ever camped and not too far from home .
This is truly a campground! Spread out over acres of rocky woods- we enjoyed the scenery, the quiet. The camp store is great, bathhouse minimalist but very clean! Wi-Fi worked pretty well and we got decent air TV. The sites are a very good size. We wouldn’t hesitate staying again.
Would not recommend for beginners. Over the last 5 years of camping with our 40ft rig, we have never come across such a tight campground. The sites can easily accommodate 40ft rigs, but the roads to get to the sites can not. The roads were uneven and so were the sites. We raised one side of our camper almost 5 inches and still maxed out our leveling gear with a two degree deficit, so just come prepared with extra leveling needs. As far as the roads, small campers would have no issue, but be mindful of twisting your rig and your tow vehicle. As we left, we had to make a very sharp turn onto an uneven and tight road to get out of the campground causing our camper to come in contact with our truck bed ultimately leading to both a dented rig and truck. Looking at the scenario, we knew we would not get out without some damage to our rig and were glad it was just a small dent. Otherwise, a very social campground with a nice pool and small playground. Would not recommend for larger rigs, but a small camper would probably be fine.
This is the greatest place the owners are as accommodating as could be. It is relaxing and just the most peaceful place on earth to take advantage of. We have found this jewel of a campground two years ago. We will always return for our summer vacations. Everyone you come in contact with is so willing to help any way they can. Bill the owner is the best. This is what family camping is supposed to be. Fun and safe, and no pressure. It is the perfect campground. Playground: Gosh, the pool and play areas are so much fun for the family to run and play if that is their thing mine is that beautiful pool in the sun. Centrally located from our site, for a short walk to paradise. Me in my Bermuda hat and shorts. Love it. The store is a warm country general store with great pastries. If you get there early enough. For my sweet tooth. Restrooms: These are clean and scattered for convenience We do mostly use our own facilities but if you are out and about you will find one. Dog-friendliness: We have a little dog that likes to say hello to all who pass. Although we only allow her to say it once. We had no complaints. But do clean you after you 4 legged friends and all is good. Picnic area: Covered for those days you want shelter sun or rain. With plenty of space for so many.
New camper and tent site combined not only brilliant but perfect for camping in a tent. Parked the van on the gravel and pop our two tents and gazebo awning. Big private sites. Highly recommend. Great experience. Fun things to do ever weekend something different. Bill and Kaye the owner are hands on cooking at times for the campground. Very family oriented. Restrooms: Clean and convenient. Picnic area: Plenty of spaces to picnic and even fish.
This is home for me, I grew up at this campground my mom and dad had a permanent site. Then after i was grown and had grandchildren I chose another permanent site so for a few seasons i camped i took my grandkids did all the things that were for the campers. Bill and Kay are great hosts and although i am no longer a child I would still camp here again .
1 in middle of nowhere. Great for a real getaway. 2 noise ordinance announced but they don’t follow up to see if people are complying. Cannot contact the park owners / employees. At 1:02 a.m. 2 sets of neighbors continued talking & we were unable to sleep. My husband spoke to the permanent/seasonal resident. called owners 2 times. Nothing. Went to the office. Nothing. we called the police. Don’t answer. At 1:02 am I went for a walk looking for a quieter spot. I spoke to an 11 year resident who said the owners leave on FR nights. She said: Police don’t come down here. About 1:20 am - I returned to our campsite. Saw other campers running toward the “noisemaker” RV. This RV owner’s dog bit 8 teeth into another camper going to the bath house. The camper was taken by a friend to the E.R. The owner put his Great Dane / pit bull mixed dog inside the RV. Now, he turns on his music. Continued to sit down in front of his large screen tv …. The camper who was bitten returned 4-5 hours later from ER.. Where were the campgroun owners? Or security??? A dog bite could have possibly been avoided if they had endorsed their rules.
Very friendly place! Great atmosphere, and the girls who work in the shop are amazing! There is a dog that appears on the roof now and again I checked he's okay he likes it up there!. Feels like hom
Made my first visit here it was quite surprised about the overall campground and the sense of community everyone has as there are people that are permanent season and there are people that are just weekend campers and it was just amazing through and through
We have friends with a site here. It's a great campground. They've had it for few years and we always have a great time. They have 3 pools, regular, adults only, kids only bathrooms, the store on site with everything you may need. Cookouts etc. Just a really great family friendly campground
