Apple Valley Motel

It may be a bit dated but the owners are extremely nice. The room was clean. Video surveillance cameras on property. To be honest, between this place and the Sheraton for over $100 a night just for a room, I would stay here again vs the Sheraton. I don't need a pool or a weight room. All I want is a bed, bathroom and safety. This place has that. I would recommend this place to anyone that dosen't want a bunch of fluff to pay extra for.

The owners of Apple Valley Motel are warm and affable hosts. They were generous answering questions I had about where to take an evening meal and travel directions. And they welcome travelers with pets. The room was clean and agreeable; the bed was excellent. I thought it was a very good value for the price and I recommend it strongly to other travelers heading South in their annual migration. And to people staying in the Roanoke area.

Prior to this stay haven't had a problem. This time the room was filthy, bathroom was very unsanitary, no hot water and toilet won't flush. Air conditioner doesn't work and on top of it all when I pulled the sheets back there was hair all in the bed and who knows what else. Very disappointed and don't know how this place passes any type of inspections! Would not recommend to any one to stay here.

Place was disgusting. Stayed in Room 1 smelled of old animal pee, there was trash under the bed, the toilet hardly flushed, the word help was written on the mirror so they didn’t even clean the room. Also the shower... I would be afraid to step in there it was so disgusting I would be afraid of catching something. There was a small old school TV my son actually asked me what it was. Save your money and stay somewhere else or sleep in your car. The smell of the room was so horrendous. I don’t know if all the rooms are the same, but this was just pathetic.

Worst place ever. Can't leave your room past 9. And if you work late they come knocking at your door at 10 am asking why your out late. Has bed bugs and don't have hot water. Don't clean your bed after 4 days. Used my own towels.

Very friendly owners most accommodating... Very inexpensive $45 a night is a deal... Anytime I need to get away it's always a nice clean room to lay down in...

Decent and reasonable. The owners are nice. It's more of a single guy blue collar place. I wouldn't suggest it for a family.

I have never seen a historical motel like that. If you complain about your life a lot, you should stay one night at this motel.
