Applebee's Grill + Bar

Update: stopped for lunch very slow service employees stayed in back mostly not very busy and not very clean. Server forgot to put our order in so took extremely long time to get food. They did take our most expensive item off the bill but couldn't get server to even bring more drinks, just lousy service. Food and drinks were good no co.plaints on temp or taste. Stopped to have a drink at the bar. Thought about having small bite but serves was slow so decided against eating. The drinks were a little pricey, especially compared to the quality of the drink. I used to really enjoy stopping in but really was unimpressed on this visit.

Stopped in on a Monday around 2:30 pm. Not crowded at all. The server was super good. The food came out fairly quick and was hot. We had a nice dining experience.Food: 5/5

The server was great. He checked us and made sure that we didn't need anything. I had the chicken tenders to save room for the Blondie for dessert.Food: 5/5

Our waitress was good for the most part. My son ordered a steak with waffle fries as his side, not knowing there was an upcharge since they were not the regular sides. I feel like she should have explained that they were an upcharge and made sure that he still wanted them. His meal came with 2 sides, so he ordered 2 sides of waffle fries. We paid for 2 sides of waffle fries. My husband and I got the 2 for $25. Everything was good except for the garlic mashed potatoes. There was nothing garlic about them, no flavor, more like a paste. I did not eat them and nicely told our waitress that they were terrible. Our family would probably dine there again.

Our party of 5 was seated quickly. It wasn't very busy. We sat for 15 minutes and no staff acknowledged us so we got up and left.Service: 1/5

Went for dinner with kids. The place is usually crowded but they handle it really well. The staff is very friendly and does not try to hurry the customers. The food service is also very fast and kids love it here. Will surely return to this place.Food: 5/5

Stopped in for a quick lunch in between meetings. Split an appetizer platter with a companion and it was a perfect amount for each of us. Not exactly elderly friendly since both regular eating areas require several steps to get to the seating that is not in the bar. I guess that's better for those that are a bit tipsy coming out of the bar. Parking: A bit troublesome to get out of the parking lot because of traffic.

I realize the customer service has went down the drain over the last several years. And sometimes I wonder if working at restaurants like BJ’s brewhouse have impacted the way I feel in restaurants. But you can stand around at this Applebee’s all day and have the same servers and managers alike walk past you and avoid eye contact and not even acknowledge that you were there. If this happened once I would not even be here writing a review. I spent a lot of years being a server and never worked in any restaurant where it would be OK for any staff, but especially management to dodge guest in the restaurant. At least five people walked past me, and the order that I was trying to pick up including a manager and did not say a word. I asked the manager who then turned around and retrieved the order that was my order. Maybe if they don’t want to deal to go orders, they should make them accessible to customers? The restaurant industry is customer service and the people working in It should at least have a game face on! Or if they hate it, maybe they should look for a different job

Visiting town for a motorcycle rally and the food and service were outstanding. Atmosphere was ok only because they were busy... No negative just not 5 starsFood: 5/5

Went out to eat with the family. The food was great as was the service. There wasn't a wait time when we went and were promptly seated and our orders taken. The food came out quickly. Out of the 5 of us I had the unlimited rib tips that were great. A couple others ordered all you can eat shrimp that looked really good. Last couple of orders were some kind of bourbon chicken that I wish I had gotten. It looked really good. Parking: Plenty of parking all around the building.
