Went here twice on our vacation. 1st time had amazing service Think his name was Dave or Jay guy was on top of everything food came out in a timely manner and hot. 2nd guy names was Aaron he was not as good of a servicer, food was much snower coming out.
Aaron is a fantastic Server! We always ask for him whenever we come cuz he is such a delight! Always prompt and courteous and friendly! And always on top of my soda refills! I just wish there were more young men like him in the world! It would just be a better place! Oh! And delicious food! Yum yum in the tum tum!Food: 5/5
We took my 3 yr old grandson there for his birthday . I let the waiter know it was his birthday no singing no acknowledgement of such thing. I would have picked a different place had I known the mood was such a downer. I could see if they were busy but there wasn't really anyone in there. Just a shame.Food: 3/5
My husband and I came in for a visit... We were hungry. The waitress asked if we wanted drinks to start: we ordered 2 sangria's they were perfect. And we proceeded to order what we wanted to eat. 2 sirloin steaks with and Mac n cheese for me, Mac n cheese mashed potatoes for my husband. 1st flag was our inquiry was obviously a problem when our food came back wrong. I asked for my steak to have no running blood and my Mac n cheese was cold. She became aggravated and sarcastic tones from here began... We sent back my entire plate and my husband's Mac n cheese. A gentleman when my steak was corrected brought our food to our table... This time the mac n cheese was so hot I could not eat them. We left her a $2.35 tip because I had no paper to write down my verbal tip. She saw my husband count his knot and she became unbelievably kind and thoughtful. Not worried I know she saw the Benji's so her tip would have been nice. Our entire visit to Petoskey Michigan was pleasant until this Applebee's experience. She gets one star for at least doing part of her job. Imagine a world where love and kindness surpasses personal emotion and judgement.
August 1, 2023 4/5 Cloey was our server and she was wonderful. She was able to answer all our questions. She made sure that my allergy was addressed in the kitchen. She smiled. She was informative. She was kind. She dealt with 3 women that weren't quite sure what we wanted and she was very patient. She started getting rather busy and she still didn't lose her smile. She's a keeper!! As for the food....the only issue we had was that the fries had so much seasoning on them....it could give someone a heart attack. So the fries were replaced with less seasoning and our meal was a success!! I can't remember the manager's name. He was a young man that didn't look old enough to be a manager lol but I wish I did remember his name. If I still managed restaurants, I would've tried to steal him. He is very professional, kind, helpful. He was wiping tables and picking up trash. He was being a manager, yet helping. Something that is rare to see in any establishments anymore. I'll be back when I'm in the area. Thank you for making our lunch memorable and entertaining. Because of this, you've made me a permanent fan of your location. Thank you!! P.S. Hey Applebee's...you might want to lay off the ratio for seasoning for the fries. Or patrons should be told how much is going to be on their fries. It would stop waste with having to remake and throw out fries, time and time again. Just a suggestion
Service was good. Super nice lady with a fun personality. I love their brew pub pretzels and their new cheese bites they have on menu. Their double crunch shrimp was ok at best and their fries tasted as though they were reheated in a microwave. Their tomato basil soup is solid. I also love their 5 cheese mac with chicken tenders.
We were seated in a section where all of the tables were dirty and no one was cleaning them. The manager’s main concern was wiping/sanitizing? the menu’s!! When my steak arrived it was so burnt that it was like a hockey puck!! Could not get the waitress’s attention and when she finally did come over she expressed no regrets other than I can order another steak for you. When she brought the new one, no apology, nothing! Finally the manager walked over, said he “comped” our dinner, no apology!! In the meantime, tables never were cleaned, people waiting to be seated and the manager sanitizing menus. New management is greatly needed at this location!!
Hate to complain but Sunday May 28th 2023 about 5:30 while my wife and I were eating dinner a group of 5 people came in and sat at the corner booth next to us. The last guy in line was pushing a baby carriage with two dogs in it. Now I am a dog owner but I would never take my dog to a restaurant even if I could. State law prohibits animals from being brought into a restaurant section 6-501.115 of the Michigan modified food code unless it is a registered service dog. These were not. I shouldn’t have to eat my dinner sitting a couple feet from two dogs. No staff there said a word about the dogs. I didn’t want to make a scene at the table as it wasn’t my responsibility to say anything to the Group. We cut our dinner short, paid our bill and then I waited several minutes at the front door to speak to the manager but he wasn’t around at that time so we left. I just don’t believe a restaurant is any place for dogs.
I work in a busy ER and have ordered through doordash. This weekend was my 2nd time I didn't receive my full order. Nobody does anything about it or has even offered my money back. I will NEVER eat at Applebee's again!Food: 2/5
Great food, was not packed. Service was fast. Food tasted as expected
