Aquarium Maintenance Service has been providing quality aquarium installations and service in the Atlanta area since 1990. Our custom built and free standing saltwater and freshwater installations range from 55 to over 1000 gallons. We have been in business for over twenty years and are proud to say that we've had twenty year relationships with several clients. I have to say, anyone who has anything negative to say about Joel, The Atlanta Fish Guy, really does not have a clue! Joel has serviced our 180-gallon fish tank for probably 10-15 years. You really don’t know what you’ve got with Joel until you find yourself without him for six months! Our tank had a lot of rock in it because it was originally a salt water tank, which Joel converted to fresh water years ago. Due to having problems with his shoulder and all the heavy rock in our tank, Joel had to stop being our maintenance guy. It was a very sad day for us when he couldn’t maintain our tank anymore, but even sadder when after finding a new, supposedly professional fish guy with good reviews!, he managed to kill every single fish in our tank! There were no mechanical, lighting or fish feeder issues, but a few days after a recent cleaning, our 25 or so fish started acting funny; all on top of the water in the corners. A few days later, every fish was dead. I immediately contacted Joel, with the hope that he could help us again or at least tell me who to call. He was here the next day! With his shoulder feeling better now, he and his son were able to drain every drop of water out and empty and clean all the gravel and rock. The tank is back in action and more beautiful than ever with Peacock cichlids and more plants than rock so it’s manageable for him now. It’s magnificent and Joel did the job in no time at all! So, here’s praying for Joel to have good shoulders for many, many years to come because I NEVER want to be without him again! And after contacting the former guy with a more than nice text message about our ordeal and to tell him we’re going back to Joel, his only response was: “OK.” Joel is the absolute best and very reasonably priced for his expertise in the field! I feel very fortunate that we live within his service area. I’m sorry if you don’t, but don’t blame that on Joel for goodness sake!! We love you, Joel! And THANK YOU!!!
I can't express the amount of professionalism and kindness I received from this company! As someone who is not an avid fish owner I was clueless. Life got ahead of me and my fish fell behind I know shame on me. I called this company for a cleaning thinking thats all it was...boy was I wrong. As he got here and got to work on the tank the real mess started to unfold. It was clear to an even the person that never owned a fish that my tank was in rough shape. The job turned out being triple the job it should have been and Joel didn't take advantage of me! He got my tank looking brand new, my fishes super happy and my pockets even happier. He answered every question I had. He gave me so much needed knowledge!! He even gave me regular household tips and because of one of them I fixed my sink! This man is super genuine and super kin. As well as being super good at what he does. Needless to say I found a forever aquarium solution! Please please please do business with him I promise you will not regret it!!!
I work for large private school in Atlanta and we use the Atlanta Fish Guy to service our aquarium in the business office. Our fish tank has never looked better -- the fish thrive and are healthy, living for years. Our monthly service is thorough and done quickly with minimal disruption. This business owner really understands fish and how to maintain balance in your aquarium. We're very pleased with the service!
Joel...THE Atlanta Fish Guy! What can I say...he's always on time and friendly. When I decided that my dental office wasn't a true dental office without an aquarium, Joel was very helpful in fish selection. His visits are always pleasant - he works quickly, leaves the tank and the office spotless!
Atlanta fish guy is the best you can ask for when it comes to fish aquarium services. He is so professional and is incredibly knowledgeable about fish aquariums and how to keep them clean. Joel came to our home, cleaned and refreshed several long neglected tanks. He also taught us a lot about fish care and tank maintenance. Knowledgeable and great service!
Asked for cleaning a fish tank. Told they cannot travel out of their immediate area to service customers. Also couldn't offer the name of anyone in my general area who might help. Was courteous but unwilling.
