Went through jury duty. Told them I work two jobs to pay my bills and I cannot afford to take off any time from work as things are already hard. Still got selected for a case that lasted multiple weeks. But don’t worry they reassured they pay $50 a day for making you stay 12+ hours a day. Once all said and done they will take multiple weeks for a check to get sent. Behind on multiple payments and lots of added stress. But hey. I did my “civic duty”
This place is an outrage. My mother tried to get into her court hearing today via web as she lives in South Carolina. For me it was the fact that she didn’t just try to contact once twice or even three times about it, but over TEN times. I’m am so disgusted. I do not recommend!
I am beyond furious. Spent all day here with a friend filing for a protection order against a man who has threatened to kill her in the past and has threatened her with a gun. She said my friend wasn’t in “imminent danger”. She was condescending and would not allow me to speak in support of my friend. Zero stars!!
Absolute 5 star service. The professionalism of the DA was astounding. Courteous clerks that are actually helpful, and a fast, efficient security team. 10/10, will screw up and have to go to court here again!!!
Get it together there is NO structure or balance you see people who are in custody and ones that have to miss work or have prior engagements get to sit for 3 hours this is a joke! Public defender all over the place extremely flighty and 0 integrity. Clearly there is a personal issue with the PD and client.
There is room for improvements. This will come when those in these positions realize they have sworn an oath and keep the best interest of the people and not their own.
The Judge told me to co-parent and work together with an abuser, which simply doesn't make sense. He told me as if it's justice. What a joke.
I’d give a zero if I could. Oh how poorly their staff treats you and very poor phone etiquette. I thought you were supposed to hire professionals not toddlers in adult bodies.
This court house is very racist towards Minorities. I was trying to get a Permanent Restraining order and judge Ryan Treated my case like it was a joke. I bet you if I was a white woman I would've got that restraining order.
Arapahoe county allows their DA’s Charles “Chad” Pitts to lie about evidence to get cases dismissed because they have “limited time and resources.” But don’t worry, they’ll allow the defendant to postpone/delay/reschedule for 8 months prior to that, so you’ll be sure to relive your domestic violence trauma day after day while the defendant gets to walk away like nothing happened. They will also not charge the defendant with all crimes committed because “when it goes to trial you don’t want the jury to think you’re petty and just trying to get them for everything you can.” I don’t think driving intoxicated without a license should be something that just gets waived away as the victim being “petty.” Arapahoe county will not include a child that was present during a domestic violence assault in a protection order because they “don’t have jurisdiction over family court,” but will include any random family member or witness that may have been present.
