I had a very pleasant experience dropping some stuff off here. I couldn’t have been easier, a man was outside and came to my car with a large cart to receive my donations. He did say that a table I brought may not be in good enough condition to sell, but to be fair someone GAVE me that table about 10 years ago. He was very nice, and asked me about my day and wished me happy holidays. I hypothesize that a lot of negative reviews about this place are attributable to people assigning a lot of value to their donations, but it’s only valuable to them for nostalgia and memories, while it looks like a piece of junk to everyone else. People don’t want to be told their donations are junk, because they come to give something away and feel good about themselves, and are deprived of that opportunity, while being a little “insulted.” But that’s not the fault of the donation center, they’re trying to stock their shelves with things people want to buy.
Will not donate to this location again. Employee Sat 11/5/22 11:40am took our donation and just toss them into a dumpster and broke most of real nice glassware. Why would we donate nice things to help others and then the employee just breaks things in front of us. We will not be visiting this location again. Going to Goodwill instead, from now on.
Friendly employees good customer svc. Always keep area clean. Never donations left at note for scavengers. . ARC helps the disabled people and hire felons who need a second chance. They got my business always.
The employees always seem irritated to be receiving donations. I thought maybe it was just the one guy I always run into, but this weekend it was someone different and he was even worse. They just stand around and glare at you and won't help unload or even hold the door for you while you do it yourself. I can understand some of that with COVID but this was going on for years before all that started. I sometimes go out of my way to go somewhere else, but the location and hours are so convenient that after awhile I forget why I've sworn to myself I'm not going back and make the mistake of giving them another chance. There are two Goodwills not too far away and their employees are always friendly and helpful - even in a pandemic. Do yourself a favor and go there instead.
I will probably never donate to ARC again because of this location. Turning away donations isn't a great way to make your presence known. Also teach the people working some customer service.
Available hours make it convenient to use this location. Most of the staff are helpful and seem appreciative for what the donations mean to the stores.
Great location clean, organized helps with your donations with smile. Always friendly and helpful. Kevin and Louis keep store clean and always working great job!
Every time we pull the car into a parking spot in front someone comes out immediately to help unload. Love the service. Also like that they are close by where we live. Makes it easy to swing by and drop off our donations.
Employee was extremely disgruntled, yelling all kinds of profanities and throwing donations into the back of the semi.. I ended up taking my donations to Goodwill because I felt like I was inconveniencing him..
Guy just homered through the door, we don’t take file cabinets. Didn’t even open door, afraid he would have to help. Not coming back.
